Very fresh. Makes very good bread.

As an avid health conscious baker, I love baking with freshly ground sourdough rye. I make breakfast bars with a blend of oats and rye flakes, pears from my pear tree, cranberries, flax, hemp hearts, chia, banana mash, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.... SOOOO GOOD! My 91 year old mother is from Germany and Rye is what she grew up with on the farm so she raves about these to everyone and can't thank me enough for bringing them to her. I make a variety of easy to grab breakfast bars including dark chocolate quinoa bars and these are her favorite. I take them on the road and make sure I have plenty in my cooler when I go to festivals so that I can share. I add them to my sourdough rye breads too.... no pre-soaking necessary like the rye chops. Both are great but rye chops are head to get in the USA. If you love European hearty style breads, this is a nice addition to your baking.

Not easy to find such excellent rye flakes at a very fair price!I use these rye flakes to make Muesli or Porridge every morning.I combine them with Rolled Oats, Oat Bran, Raisins, Pumpkin Seeds and Chopped Walnuts to give my body the nutritious boost it needs right off the bat.I fill up a large plastic cereal container with half the bag and keep it and the remaining bag in the fridge.This 10-pound bag lasts me about 6 months.Sometimes, I add them to my Nordic Bread recipe.Thanks, Grain Millers, for a great product!!!!!

The Rye Looks great and in a sturdy Bag.

These are just as good as the previous brand I bought, and is twice as much for about the same price.

I mix these with wheat flakes and oatmeal for a hot multigrain cereal. I love it. It's a great value!

These rye flakes are just as described and pictured. Very clean flakes with little dust and no husks. Cooked up nicely with great flavor and texture.
