I purchased this item on 03/30/2018. I considered many other brands, including Ring. It was tricky to connect to my network, but I got it done. I find the app to be adequate, but it clearly needs improvement. The app is lacking quite a bit. This would have been a four-star review, but I find the batteries to be less than acceptable. As I said I purchased this on 03/30/2018. It arrived the afternoon of 03/31/2018. I let it charge until the morning of 04/01/2018 so it was fully charged. Today is 04/09/2018, and when I went home for lunch I found the batteries to be completely dead. In this post Mbangde clearly claimed, "Two 18650 specification batteries work regularly for 8~12 months." I do not have a lot of traffic coming to my house so the batteries could not have been drained from standard use. There were very few false alarms so that could not have drained them. It is misleading to state the batteries will last 8 - 12 months when they only lasted me 8 days. At the very least you should send me higher capacity batteries that last the length of time you claim. I am very disappointed with it. This one thing is enough for my review to loose three stars. This is unacceptable.

My first review was not very complimentry, I had requested a return that was authorized, but with continus work was able toget it working. So now I would give it a better review. It works well, but you need to keep it cnnected to know within seconds who is at the door, could be more my wireless speed that makes it slower than desirable. A more through manual would make setting it up easier, for me it was a lot of trial and error, but again thaat may be more me than the doorbell.
