Hi, I’m Penelope a female Fantail goldfish I’m 8yrs old & a beast that loves to eat & 💩 a lot . This is by far the best Hitop Bio Sponge filter I have ever had and that actual works and does what it’s suppose to do! Finding Just using the Marineland Pro 275 just doesn’t keep up with my wast! The combo of both is the BEST My owner just got back after being away for a month and She can’t not believe how clean my tank is. Normal she has to have to put me in my bath tank and change water. Thanks Penelope no bath this time! LOL

I got this 2 pack thinking it would be a great addition to my 20 gallon, no onowing thebsize was a bit smaller than expected. They will make good use in our 5 and 3 gallons just fine however as the quality is great and they seem very effective for smaller areas. They are nice round shape and the sponge is pretty small so be prepared to clean them regularly. Its nice for possibly a shrimp tank or a quarantine tank as i plan to use them. Maybe next time ill get the larger single option rather than the 2 smaller sizes.

The media could not be loaded.  Great filter. Quiet. Not an aggressive bubbler that causes a strong current in the water. Princess Finastasia & her royal court of ghost shrimp are very happy. I placed new gravel when I installed this filter & even though it was very thoroughly rinsed it still created a significant amount of floaters in the water. I waited to put her & the shrimps back in, turn the bubbler up to max & in under 10 minutes the water was completely clear. I ordered two because I had a feeling I would like it but wondering if/how the sponge can be replaced & whether I can place bio-balls in the tube. This is a great product so far, don’t sleep on it my friends. If you have a round tank, order two so you have a backup. (I have a 3 gallon cylinder tank)

Super good quality and keeps my tank looking nice. I love the look of it too, it looks more sleek than most sponge filters.

I haven't hooked it up to evaluate its functionality as the air pump is arriving tomorrow. However, the air filter arrived loosely packaged in a shipping envelope. The air/filter unit, a bag of beads and a badly crimped hose. There are no instructions, not even a box to look at for information as to how to properly assemble it. At a guess, I'd say it was refurbished? The hose doesn't look quite new. Fortunately I have a long length of new hose that should work fine. After installing the system, I'll update. Granted, its also a situation of you get what you pay for. We will see.

These little filters are pretty nice and do a decent job. I got them for my shrimp tanks since they don’t have much of a bio load. These are mainly to just keep water circulating. They work well and are a nice size. I like that they don’t take up much room in the tank.
