This bottle is perfect for my needs. I wanted a way to pace myself through the day, so I could be sure I was on track to drink a gallon a day. My old method involved counting cups of water, which was tedious and prone to error. With this bottle, I just fill it up and make sure it is gone by the time I go to bed. I don't care about the words of encouragement as much as I appreciate the lines on the bottle. I check the level and my watch to determine what I have to drink to keep up, get ahead, or stay on pace. I have 3 bits of advice for those considering buying one of these bottles: 1) Don't buy the black one like I did. It is harder to see the water level through the darker colored plastic. If I was buying again, I would get clear -- or at least a less dark -- color. 2) Plan to fill this up and then pour to a smaller receptacle. A gallon of water weighs about 8 pounds (~3.6 kg), and as a result, there is no convenient way to drink from a full one gallon jug. 3) Learn to pour with your left hand. The lines painted on this will invariably be on the back side if you pour with your right hand and then place in back down on a surface. If you pour and place with your left hand, however, you can look at the level more readily. If I had a quibble, it would be the choice to place the lines the way they did on the bottle. It would be more accurate to call this a left-handed jug. That is not worth subtracting a star, in my opinion. The jug is great and if you are interested in tracking your water consumption over the course of the day with a goal of 1 gallon, then this is a good choice. I love it.

I’m probably on my 3rd jug and my gym ppl, this is the one to buy. 1. It’s strong material, drop them a bunch and rarely do they break. Other products have worse design. Yes it can break but if it falls out your car while driving in a Jeep and hits cement, what did you think was going to happen. #reallifeexperieces2. Drink speed- sounds dumb right. But I can drink water so much faster out of this and it’s simplistic and easy. No hassle, just twist off and drink. AM work out I can drink half this bottle and no issues putting water down while I sweat.3. Color and style. I travel a lot and am always on the road, in airports, going places. You name the place, I’m the idiot caring the 1 gallon jug. Why I love it, filtered water at max quantity without the constant fill ups. One time a day I’m done. And a great conversation starter. You wanted to be annoyed while sitting in airports and on planes, this jug will buy you all that attention you hate.4. Worst part of gallon jug life, bathrooms become a constant. But hey, part of it. Heck you like the jug a lot you can buy one for drinking and one for, well… You get the point.5. Man I’ve kept you still reading this thing. Stop reading. Just buy it already. Move on with your day.

If you're thinking you don't really need this, (as I was) you will be surprised as how much you will love it once you have it and wish you did have it sooner! :-)I always wondered how much water I was drinking throughout the day, was it not enough, was it too much? I would loose track of trying to count my glasses unless I wrote it down. Ever since I got this, I am now that person that carries about a big jug of water everywhere! lol!I love it, not only is it motivational as I drink and read it, but I have really felt so much better about my water intake since I bought it. I feel more energized and get very proud of myself once I finish it and there is still so much time left in the day! There is days that I naturally don't feel as thirsty and it has helped on those days even more because of the motivational hours and messages on it to remind me that I need to finish that particular amount by that time! You realize how you can be different with hydration levels on different days and I think this has really helped me be better with my water intake for my health.I hand wash it, nothing has come off the outside, the lid hasn't rusted and it seems very durable.I like the handle it comes with for easy carrying and actually the "purple" jug I ordered is much more dark pink, which is what I was hoping it would be, and not purple! hehe, I love.5 stars, highly recommend.Hope you found this review helpful in making your decision! :)

I was apprehensive because of a few of the reviews. I got the 72oz and absolutely love it. I bought this because none of my bottles were big enough to hold the amount of water I need while working out. This was exactly what I was looking for, well worth it. A few points about this bottle:1- It is much sturdier than I thought. While I am careful not to drop or mistreat it, this is not a flimsy container. It is a hard plastic.2- I do not carry it by the strap (which some reviewers said broke) but instead I use the easy to hold handle. Have no issues holding it.3- With it being a large bottle, naturally in the beginning it may be awkward because its not the size we are accustomed to drinking from. However, I use it on my workouts without a straw and have mastered it. Other reviewers that are using it indoors say a straw works just fine. I will say if I had to pick one thing about this that I would change, I would prefer a flip and sip lid versus the open hole that this water bottle comes with. With that being said, after a little practice it becomes easier to drink from.4- I wash with steamy hot, soapy water every night. Since I don't use anything but water in it, this seems to clean it just fine. Just make sure you either refill with water and put in fridge right after cleaning, or tip upside-down to dry, leaving a space for ventilation. I always wash by hand, never in the dishwasher. So far no color or letters have washed off and has not developed any mold.If something happened to this bottle I would definitely buy another one. I would also recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good water bottle.

Amazing product, easy to hold. I would have liked a cleaning brush to come with it as the mouth is very narrow so it will make it difficult for a dish sponge to clean inside.4 month Update: on the first fall my bottle broke (literally a large piece broke off) 💔. It was a very short fall so I was surprised amd disappointed.

Definitely reminded me to drink water throughout the day…mainly used to pour water into glass as it’s pretty heavy at first lol

I love this bottle shes sturdy and the lid doesn't leak my only wish is I drink with my right hand and all the words are facing away from me while I'm guzzling my water. Obviously not a big deal though.
