Was so sick of sand getting in my boots. These are perfect for warmer climate hiking.

I hike in all 4 seasons. Having gaiters over my hiking boots are necessary in my eyes. A good pair of gaiters helps shield me from water, snow, and mud. Gaiters come in different styles and this is my first pair of short ankle ones. I ordered them to keep mud and water out of my boots. They are particularly useful if I have multi-day hikes when I don’t have time to dry out my socks and boots at the end of the day. Gaiters help keep my feet dry. The only downside of wearing gaiters is they can be hot and sweaty; however this pair are breathable so that’s a plus. These particular gaiters are nice looking, well-made and are offered in 3 colors (blue, green and red). The stirrup is thick and should hold up very well underneath my boots. They have a small hook in the front that you hook onto the top of your hiking boots to help hold the gaiters from slipping around on your boot. There’s also an anti-slip belt at the back to help keep the gaiters stay securely in place. Overall, I am very happy with these gaiters and feel they will last a long time on the trails.

So far so good. Love them, prevents sand and thorns on shoes and socks while running in the desert.

I used them for hiking in the woods.

It's a basic gaiter, size large fits my size 11.5 US shoes. It wasn't obvious to me from the photos but these DO NOT have a velcro flap in the front or back but they are a solid tube you have to stretch over your shoes, which is a bit annoying to put on especially if my shoes are dirty as this gets dirt on the inside of the gaiters and then only my legs. I much prefer the velcro versions, how much weight does that really add? For the price these are functional but since there's no way to replace the strap that goes under your foot short of sewing something on, I don't expect these to last very long. I got some similar gaiters from REI that are better in every way and only a few dollars more, with replaceable straps and velcro. These will be my backups.
