I used to think that these types of harness' were for more bigger stronger 'solid' dogs like staffys.How wrong was I?Alongside a 5m extendable lead it has completely revolutionised 'walks' with my older 12 y/o Jack Russell ('old dogs & new tricks'?)Much more comfort for my dog when walking, with or without a lead attached. Easy to control / 'grab hold of' and makes it quicker to attach a lead.Definitly less sounding like she's choking as from using a normal collar when on a lead.Can be a bit fiddly when putting on a very excited dog ready for a walk, but that probably says more about my owner / training skills over the harness.The need for the correct size for your dog is a necessaity (even with the adjustable straps): too small and it can chaff under the dog's armpits, too big and the bagginess affects / annoys your dog.My dog is a small 'slight' Jack Russell about 6kgs in weight (if that helps?): the small size harness is about right for her size.The material is soft, breathable and washable: as it can start to smell 'doggy', expectedly, after being out in the rain / dirty / wet conditions.I wouldn't be without one.

I've bought four of these since November 2022 for my two small Jack Russel type dogs. Both dogs are super active and wear their harness for around 4 hours each day when we're out exercising. After around 18 months or so of use and abuse the webbing starts to give way but the straps clasp and D ring remain in perfect condition so it doesn't affect security or safety. I replace them when they start to get tatty just because they look a bit naff. At around £10 each they're better value than premium harnesses that I've previously bought which cost 5 times as much but don't last 5 times longer.

I bought this harness as it was uncomplicated and less fabric involved as I wanted to sew small bells on it for my small dog who disappears in the garden and I can’t find her. So having some of the bells on I can hear her and locate her more easily. She is only small so I didn’t want anything that was lumpy and big.

Bought for my 6 month old terrier puppy. This is a good harness to get your puppy used to wearing a harness as it's soft and gentle. Easy to put on and off. It has a a d ring on the back. I'd prefer a d ring on the front (chest) too.

I have always used this harness for my toy poodle. I have tried others but they are either too bulky for her small frame or too big round the middle. It could do with some way of tightening up the part that goes over her head as it is a bit baggy once on, but not so much that it matters. The extra small is just too small for her head. I shall stick to this one as it suits her very well.
