Is not close to the RS bars
This has a lot of differences compared to the RF bars. The bar width they list is for the drops. The top is much narrower. This makes it so the flare is a lot more severe, making it so the your hoods are angled a lot more than they are in the RS. Also the RS has a 20mm rise, these don't. The "sink" are is wider and shorter. The drops are also a lot more different . The quality is okay. You definitely can feel the difference between the more expensive one. I'm returning this and going to try a different brand that is much more similar to the RS.

Discovering a New Feel with the SATORI Handlebar
Exploring the SATORI FIREBIRD Gravel Road Bike Handlebar, I've found a notable addition to my fat bike setup. This isn't just any handlebar; it's a thoughtful blend of design and functionality, especially for those of us seeking ergonomic solutions. The standout feature is its lightweight and distinctive design, offering the gravel flare drop bar style that's popular yet functional. Switching to this bar has significantly reduced my wrist pain, a relief that flat bars couldn't provide. The bar's drop is less pronounced than what you'd typically find in gravel bars, which is a plus for me. This slight adjustment in the drop, coupled with a shorter overall length, corrected the overextension issue on my fat bike. These seemingly minor changes have made a big impact on my riding comfort. While the flare is more than I typically go for, it's proven to be beneficial on my fat bike / MTB (same bike just different forks and wheel sets), offering extra stability. It's a different feel, but one that complements the bike's build effectively. Regarding bar taping, a bit of guidance from SATORI would be welcome. The bar's unique shape can be challenging to tape. I've opted to use three rolls of tape for a complete and comfortable grip, including the integrated front extension, though it does add to the expense. The integrated front extension is a highlight, allowing for a more aerodynamic position. It's a feature that enhances the overall riding experience, especially on longer journeys. In summary, the SATORI FIREBIRD Gravel Road Bike Handlebar is a well-designed, ergonomic option for cyclists. It's especially suited for those looking to enhance riding comfort and control. This handlebar has transformed my biking experience, offering both relief from discomfort and improved bike handling. It's a product I enthusiastically recommend, and I'm eager to continue refining my setup with it.

Affordable alternative to a popular but expensive competitor's bar.
There is a well received and popular handlebar of similar geometry that costs many times more, that this SATORI Firebird shallow flared drop bar resembles. It's not an exact copy of course, and these differences cost this version a star. The difference sacrifices some grip comfort on top of the bar. The more aggressive bends of the drops may or may not hinder lever access and comfort as well. The original bar this one is based on, has more space on top and a more radius-ed curvature to the drops. Construction though is excellent. There is only the slightest weld flash detected that should have been sanded before anodizing. As is the finish...consistent black anodizing and white insignia. I selected the bar for my monstercross 700C gravel grinder build. After my previous 26" MTB drop bar gravel grinder build, I wanted a more versatile handle bar with less drop, wider leverage, and more grip points. This Satori bar answers all of these and even looks good too. A very nice specialty bar for anyone looking for better performance and hand grip locations.

Perfect for gravel and bike packing
This bar carries all the latest trends as far as drop bars go. Extra wide width? check. Shallow drops? check. Wide flare? check. Extension for attachments? check. I have been wanting to use something like this on my Salsa Journeyer even though I don't do bike packing and this is a perfect bar for that kind of lazy geometry bike. The shallow and wide drops make controlling bike really easy on rough gravel. The flare feels pretty natural while braking too - against my reservations. Mind you, the flare is pretty wild on this one! The build quality seems decent. Welds are smooth and uniform and whole bar is quite stiff. It may be stiffer than I like but it is probably a good thing if you are using it for attaching bags on the extension. Because of the extension on the front taping the bar can me a little confusing and may need a longer tape if you decide to tape the whole thing. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this bar. It may be little too stiff for my liking but I understand where they are coming from. That extension on front serves a specific purpose and because of that this bar is not light. I know on a bike packing rig this is a non-issue but worth noting. For specific needs of attaching luggage at the front, extra lights or basket this bar is a 100% recommendation. If you just need a wide bar, there are plenty others without the extension.
