Great tool for swingpath feedback
Great tool to use for training your swingpath. I have a launch monitor but it does not track the path of the club face. Using this in conjunction with the launch monitor helps me put all the pieces together and train my swing. Product is durable and good quality so far.

Well made, instant feedback on your swing
Admittedly I'm not a very good golfer. I have a terrible slice. This mat gives me instant feedback on what my club head is doing through my swing. Obviously it doesn't tell me what I need to do to correct it, which for me is what I need. That's not in any way to blame the mat. That's a user problem lol. The mat does exactly what it's advertised to do by telling me what my club head is doing. It's extremely well made, with a thick rubber bottom. Obviously I can't confirm how durable it is, but you can tell from the thickness & feeling this thing will be able to take a beating.Because of the thickness, it is heavier than you might expect. Not ridiculous heavy, just had a good weight to it. This keeps it in place while you're using it. Plus it has a handle built into the rubber base, so it's very easy to carry. The area where you hit has a nice contrast after you swing, so it's easy to see the path of your club and the different contact points (on, off, how hard). It resets very easily, just a swipe backward with your club, hand or foot.I feel comfortable using this indoors given the thickness of the mat, I'm not worried about damaging my floor or golf club (ceiling/walls etc from the club are another thing entirely lol).Overall, this is a nice mat if you're looking for something to give you instant feedback on what your club head is doing when you swing. It's important to remember, this won't fix your swing, or tell you how to fix it. Rather, it will provide you with additional information about your swing, which you can then use to investigate how to correct it.I think given the sturdy construction, it's a good value for the money and this is likely to last you a lifetime.I didn't deduct any stars because this does exactly what it was advertised to do. It's well made, helps provide additional information on your swing, and can be used indoors if you want to work on your swing year round.

This is to be used at the driving range
I can't think of one bad thing to say about this. As it's still winter, the range has yet to open for the season so I can't actually test it yet (I don't have plastic practise balls) but will start some "putting" practise with real balls in the basement. Putting is the other area that can always stand improvment--hitting the ball with a smooth stroke AND hitting it straight is always a challenge. All you get is the mat and two stakes to hold it in place--no balls although there is a trough for you to put a half dozen or so range balls in while they are waiting to get hit.First pic is showing the nap no "swing", second pic is after a "swing" and the third pic shows the underside which is studded with round "nubblies" that are part of the 1/4" thick rubber pad and help to hold it in place. Those stakes are definitely going to needed to hold this in place on the grass. It appears to have some sort of reinforcement dead center, which is where you set your ball up for hitting on the opposite (nap) side. This mat is for hitting iron shots but could also be used for fairway woods. Useless for hitting your driver as you usually hit those off a tee and if you did that here, the direction of your swing would not be displayed anyways. There is a definite rubber smell to this but as you're going to be using this outside in all likelihood, it doesn't matter.Until I can get it outside on the range, I'm going to use it indoors as a PUTTING assistant with real balls. This is how I'll be using it till I can get outside. You just smooth the nap in the opposite direction of the arrow and it's good to go again. It does seem expensive for what you get but considering that it is a single-purpose piece of rubber with a "carpet/nap" like surface, as long as it stands up to the abuse a golf club will impose on it, it will be a valuable aid in your practising on the range.I'll come back here once I can get outside and update this as needed.
