This cable passes a weak signal
I bought this cable to connect a plasma set to the AV equipment closet on the other side of the house. Some cables have built in electronics that communicate through the cable to maintain a signal to the other end. I do not know if this cable has those features. All I can say is my blue ray connects to the AVR, the AVR passes thru the HDMI signal to the cable. The screen never comes up with the blue ray, but if I play anything else the screen works most of the time.I am purchasing a repeater today for this cable. Just wanted others to know that at 100' you may want to think about purchasing one of the more expensive cables with amplification and/or modularization, or a repeater and 2 50' cables.
