Not what I expected
I love KDs music, but this book could have done a better job of showing how to play KDs songs. In KDs Baba Hanuman, for example, the book skips the entire prelude to the song. Why would they do that? If you purchase sheet music, you expect to be given sheet music to the entire song. (BTW KD plays a CG chord, and then a CF chord through the introduction of Baba Hanuman.) KD uses chords throughout most of his songs on the harmonium. However, this book gives only THE NOTES KD SINGS, and not the notes and chords that he correspondingly plays on the harmonium. So if the buyer attempts to play the song as written in the book, it will not sound at all like what KD plays on his tracks. Furthermore, the title "Chantcyclopedia" for $25 gives the buyer an illusion that he is buying a thick volumed book packed with information about kirtan chants. In fact, this thin floppy book has less pages and substance than a Time or Newsweek magazine.

Happy To Make A Beginning
Having taken Daniel's wonderful Harmonium course at Kripalu, I am so happy to have this book to being working on KD's song's that introduced me to Kirtan. The faves are there and it's a wonderful place to start.

Waste of money
This is a joke..only 4-5 songs the rest are pictures and stories..not worth 20.00. Total waste of money.

well presented but expected a much thicker book for my money
As a massive UK fan of KD's, I looked everywhere in the UK for this book but alas was forced to order it from the US. This wasn't an issue until I received it. Although it is well presented, with lovely photos etc, I felt that at over £20 for a UK customer it was too expensive. I expected a more substantial book, not a concert programme. Should others in the range become available in UK for around £10, I would purchase them. I have tried a few songs and feel that I need to study the scales more. Worth it if already a harmonium player but if like me, a total beginner, it is worth saving :)

A most enjoyable learning and reading experience
Daniel Tucker’s Breath of the Heart is a songbook containing all the tracks on KD’s most famous album. It’s also a storybook, which is an added extra. Both combine to make a great reading and learning experience.
