The Ranger's Apprentice Series (Complete 12 Book Set) Paperback – Unabridged, January 1, 2013

I bought these hoping my kids would read them bit they didn't. I did and I love them. Story is fast and keeps you intrested.

I saw this for what I considered was an amazing price so I grabbed it, and I wasn't disappointed. This is an incredible series and I love it! A few technical details about the books themselves. 1) They're English. And by English, I mean with English spelling, not American spelling. Although it might've been slightly annoying at first, I have since gotten used to the different spelling, which has actually become quite amusing for me:). 2) Also, the spines on book ten and twelve don't match up completely perfectly, but I don't think it looks so noticeable. It is not an error on the book, just how it was made ( at least, I think). It doesn't really make a difference but I though I should mention it. 3) Another thing, because its the English edition, the fourth book instead of being named Battle for Skandia, it is called Oakleaf Bearers. It's still the same exact book, despite the title name. 4) A typo found in the book itself (I'm pretty sure it was book two), in the character profile for Baron Arald the title for his name was Baron Auld.(only once though, not consistently)On a different note, the publisher seems to be very good, and the books came several days early, which I was really excited about. I am super satisfied and I would definitely buy again. I one hundred percent recommend both books and seller.

Started the first book on audio when I went camping. Ordered the whole set when I got back. Crazy good!! Really fast read but fun. Takes me two to three days to read a book. Would be a great first series for a first timer like a kid in 9th or 10th grade. I’m almost 60 so I guess they’re for anyone. Very good.

Wonderful characters and the storyline is really enjoyable. The characters have meaningful relationships and individual personalities that keep them interesting. The books are very "clean" so are appropriate for younger audiences. No naughty language and it's very PG rated. But at the same time the author has a really good sense of humor that will entertain all ages. I really enjoy these books and highly recommend them.

This is one of the series I most often recommend or gift to younger readers. It’s exciting, well written and entertaining no matter your age. Also a good price for the full series.

I have nothing against violence or sex in stories but some writers rely on those substances for shock instead of depth of story to be popular. This is one series that can tell a great story without needing any shock factor. 5 stars to the author for doing that! THAT is a talent unto itself in this day and age.Wasn't sure if I wanted to start another series but glad I did with this one. Some people seem to complain it is young adult, but seriously, it is so well written that who cares! I wanted to buy the whole set and read them all in about two weeks. I also ordered the other book set in regards to the viking type storyline being told.For not being violent and sexual, this series pulled me in. Halt is a great character IMO. Don't pass on this series if you feel it is only for young adults, give it a shot as it is a very well rounded storyline without sex and violence. Being able to write a 12 book series without rape and graphic violence is a skill unto itself.

All of the books came in a plastic wrap-bag and it was six books per wrap and all of the books looked nigh brand new! The top book in the package did have some white lines from being scratched at some point. And the box it came in was a bit banged up but that likely happened during the shipping process.Overall, I’m immensely happy with my purchase as I quite enjoy this series and wanted them for my own bookshelf.

It's nice when kids beg you for books. I have been giving these to my son one at a time and he comes back behind for the next one. It's so much better than him sitting in front of a screen.
