Babies Without Teeth Yet Can Eat These! YES!
These rice rusks are wonderful for babies who are ready and curious to feed themselves things, but may not have teeth yet. Our daughter was 7 months old and had no teeth yet when we introduced these as snacks between regular wet baby food meals and regular nursing sessions as well. She eagerly would grasp the Mum-Mum and put it immediately into her mouth, and as she would mouth and gum it, the rice rusk would easily soften and dissolve well from her saliva, allowing her to ingest this seemingly solid food without having any teeth. What is even better is the almost complete lack of any mess from eating these. Yes, there are a few crumbs here and there, but nothing compared to the mess parents associate with regular baby food meals. It is easily a snack that can be given in a play area where the baby does not necessarily need to be in a high chair for easy cleanup. (As long as your baby can sit upright well on their own.) If you are wondering about the consistency of the Mum-Mum, it is sort of like a giant, flat grain of Rice Krispy cereal...maybe 1/8" thick, enough to be sturdy but not so thick or rigid that your baby can't break off a bit in their mouth to suck on. But because it dissolves so readily, it is okay. Just be sure to always supervise your baby while eating this, or any food, when they are this young. Also, the Mum-Mums are actually sort of good. Stuck running errands once and not having eaten lunch, I found myself combing through my purse to find a granola bar or something, but all we had were Mum-Mums, but lots of them because I always carry them with me everywhere for her to have a quick snack. I ate a few and, while they are not super flavorful, they are pretty good for being so healthy for your baby and without additives. Now is a good time to mention too that they come two Mum-Mums individually wrapped at a time, so it is very convenient to grab a few and stash them in your diaper bag or purse. Although, I would suggest putting the individually wrapped packages in an empty hard shell sunglasses case first to prevent breakage because otherwise you'll end up with a lot of broken pieces of Mum-Mums from being broken in your bag. Do be aware though that there is not any iron in these snacks, so be sure that your baby is getting enough iron from other sources (breastmilk, Cheerios, red meat, spinach, etc.) Around 9 months of age, many babies experience a dip in their iron levels and can become slightly anemic, so it is a good idea to be sure your baby is also eating other foods rich in iron.

GREAT for starting solids
PERFECT for babies that are teething or just starting solids. They dissolve super quick and are easy to gum, they're bigger so easier to hold for baby, and they last longer than the star-shaped puffs but seem very similar. My little 7-month-old LOVES them. I would still advise keeping an eye on them while they're eating, though, and don't give in the car or somewhere as they could be a choking hazard if they get too big of a piece or it gets stuck or something.PROS- Easy and convenient- Keeps baby busy during mealtime- Easy for baby to hold- Easy to travel with (they're individually packaged - 2 per bag - so you can put a few in the diaper bag when eating out)!- Dissolves quickly and easy to eat (even without teeth)- Flavors are good (yes, I taste all my baby's food before giving it to him)CONS- Can get sticky and messy- May be a choking hazard if too big of a piece goes into the mouth at once - BE CAUTIOUS!- Not much nutritional value, I don't think

A mommy must have in every diaper bag or purse
Healthy and light, I keep a couple of these in my purse all the time to calm my babies when they have rumbling tummies or are simply bored out of their minds in the supermarket cart. They keep them entertained, I can give them to my 8 month old since they dissolve quickly in the mouth or my toddler.-Other cooked such as the Gerber Bananas make more of a mess, these are light and dissolve in the mouth so fast they don't have time to make "cookie goo" all over their little hands and face-Doesn't leave them feeling "full" so don't worry about ruining dinner-They come in individual packets of two so drop a couple in your purse and keep them ready for emergencies-They are healthy and taste greatI have bought these since my first baby started learning to eat solids almost 2 and a half years ago and haven't stopped since. My babies speech therapist asked me to use them for oral motor purposes and they simply turned into the funnest and healthiest snack I can give my kids.

Good, but parents beware!!!
So our 7 month old likes these! She has her two bottom teeth and is eating baby food. I would give her a cracker as a snack between meals. HERE IS THE ISSUE: These crackers are meant to "dissolve" and be safe for babies to gnaw on. This means they stick to the inside of the mouth while they "dissolve." In theory this is great because you think "oh so the baby can't swallow a piece that's too big." Well, my daughter has choked multiple times because the cracker piece gets stuck on the back of her tongue and her airway gets blocked. She chokes and I have to swoop in and finger sweep her mouth. So be sure to supervise your baby. I am going to stop using these until she is "mashing" her mouth when she eats. I can't be the only person with this problem! I just wanted to put it out there. I (and the baby) like these, but we are going to wait until she is a little older and I don't have to standby with my finger ready while she eats!

Great little self-feeding snack for babies and toddlers.
My little girl couldn't get enough of these when she was a baby. She ate them well into toddlerhood because she just liked them that much. They are easy to hold and they break down easily for babies to eat them on their own. They don't turn into cement like zwieback cookies tend to do, and they come in lots of flavors. I love that they are natural, and that they are individually packaged for freshness, and easy to throw in your bag or purse for on the go snacking. I bought this pack for my nephew. He loves them too.**Like many others, I rely heavily on Amazon customer reviews before purchasing anything anywhere (on Amazon or at brick-and-mortar stores).
