Not the best but definitely worth my purchase. It was refreshing to read something basic. Yes there's grammatical errors, nothing that bad. I bought with intention to share with the newbees in the house and thought it good enough to get the young teen involved as well. I recommend it. It also does help with the prayers. Sometimes it's difficult to say what one is thinking and thru this book it's okay and enough to speak from the heart. That is also praying.

Sometimes, we experience such deep pain and sorrow from the loss of loved ones and from tragic things that happen in the lives of our family, that the connection to spirit seems all but lost. Many times, the words don't come and we don't know what to say, how to ask for help. this book helped me bridge that gap and set me on the path to healing. I used it every day, in front of my boveda and low and behold, I was able to reconnect to my ancestors and spirit guides.I highly recommend this book to all English speaking people just learning to connect with their spirit guides and to those who need a new experience. You see, this is something you must do alone. No one can give you this. Spiritual baths help but unless you are willing to quiet yourself down, sit still and pray, your relationship with eggun and the spirit world will only be superficial.Thank you for writing such a life-changing book.Iya Obatala Igbinkeke

I loved the prayers in English!!

Initially I thought the prayers were Yoruba prayers, and I was disappointed. However, after reading a few prayers, I realized these prayers were done from the heart. I've been carrying the book, and everyday I read a prayer or two on the way to work. If you have trouble with formatting a prayer, this book may help you with understanding Orisha, and how to call on them for guidance. There are lots of spelling errors, and I hope next time the author will have her work proofread.

An amazing collection of personal and heartfelt prayers and poems to the ORISHA. We highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Yoruba Traditional Religion (IFA and ORISHA). Also this book is great to read to children who are learning our traditions and learning to love and value our practice.Blessings to all, IRE O
