Devil May Cry PS2 trilogy in one collection!
The Devil May Cry HD collection is perfect for those wanting to get into DMC. You get 2 great games(and 1 mediocre game) for the price of one. The PS4 version differs greatly from the PS3 version having fixed many menu issues, as well as giving you the ability to change games without exiting to the PlayStation menu. The games themselves are where your mileage may vary.Devil May Cry is the game that pioneered the character action genre. Because of this game God of War, Bayonetta, and even the Darksiders series owes it's existence to DMC. For those wanting to see where it all began this is where you start. You play as Dante, a badass demon hunter, that goes to a demonic island to battle the Lord of the underworld. You'll battle mannequins, large magma scorpions, and dark angels. No one said it was going to be easy, Devil May Cry is a very hard game. Not impossible but expect to die multiple times very early on until you get accustomed to the controls. The game is also very archaic in other designs like a Resident Evil style camera, very claustrophobic locations(which addto the atmosphere) and wonky platforming sections. All in all Devil May Cry is a very good place to get started. For everything DMC did right, DMC2 is a massive step backwards. The original development team weren't involved here since Capcom desided to start development as early as possible to release it as soon as possible, so a new team got brought on board and it shows. Designwise and aesthetically, it's dull. Maybe you could blame the PS2 limitations, but DMC didn't suffer too much from it thanks to the fact it went for a gothic style atmosphere. DMC2 just pales in comparison. Gameplay wise it's worse. The combat is gimped giving you only Swords as main melee weapons(just stick to Rebellion, it's better than the alternatives) that all share the same moves and combos. And gun combat has too much focus, making them very overpowered. You can stun lock every single enemy in the game with Ebony and Ivory alone. It's laughable. The story is also lame, the characters are dull, Dante has no personality to speak of, and Lucia is Trish from the first game but lamer. And that's how you can describe this game. It's boring. You're better off skipping it, unless youre a chronology nut and have to play games in order. Otherwise there's nothing here for you.For every failing DMC2 has, it's director, Hideaki Itsuno, returned for the next game, Devil May Cry 3, and improved upon everything that you could improve. If you're buying the HD Collection, the main game you're paying for is this one. There's a reason its still considered the best DMC game to date. Combat has been improved giving Dante multiple fighting styles to choose from that change his gameplay slightly. Multiple weapons to choose. From the trusty Rebellion sword, to the badass ice nunchucks Cerberus, to the electrifying guitar Nevan. There's never a dull weapon and any combination is viable. The story is also a strong point for the game. Being a prequel to the original game, it stars a young Dante facing off against his twin brother Vergil from opening a portal to the demon realm. The story has badass moments as well as more serious and touching moments giving Dante more personality than at first seemed. Levels are plentyful with secrets to discover and challenges to perform. All in all DMC3 is a fantastic game, and one that I implore all action game fans to try out.

Become the coolest demon hunter
Two amazing games, plus DMC 2. When I think top quality action-games, I immediately turn to the Devil May Cry series. The first one, without a doubt, a unique masterpiece of a game. With a very eerie, yet awesome atmosphere and environment design. While Devil May Cry 3, definitely kicks it up to a whole new level. The soundtrack and story are both incredible. And Devil May Cry 2 is... okay at best.

Great Games
Great throwback to one of my favorite eras in gaming. The Devil May Cry series was and is incredible. It was a big part of that era in gaming for me to when I saw an HD trilogy release I had to get it. Although it is not up to todays standards it it still fun, challenging and easy to get sucked into these games. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especailly those who miss the PS2 and games from that time period. Now just waiting for an Onimusha HD trilogy ....

A classic trilogy
I played these games when I was much younger and loved them then on the PS2, but to have them again on a single disc with upgraded in-game graphics is really awesome! Clunky classic mechanics/camera angles aside, the games run smooth and look great on HD TVs. The only downsides are that the cutscenes didn't get an overhaul and there isn't anything extra here for those who bought the PS3 version of this collection. Besides that, these games still play with the same fun combat and nail-biting challenge I remember them having!

Think of this as 2 good games for 20$ and 1 bad game for free
If you’re a big fan of the series or a new a fan of devil may cry, this collection is a great start to understand the lore/story properly. The condition of my package was flawless, so thank you to the guy who delivered to me.Dmc 1 is a sloppy but a great start to the seriesDmc2 had the best costume design of Dante and a lot of extra content but it’s gameplay was lack lusterDmc3 was the magnum opus of the series, in fact, it saved the series after the lackluster game that was dmc2.

Great money for a port of a port
Its a re-port from the ps2-ps3 to ps4. What can you expect? All 3 games are exactly the same as the ps2 versions. For $30 (less with the prime discount), its a steal. Especially if you want the nostalgia from when you played it on the ps2 but didnt get a chance to get the port over to ps3/xbox360.Hopefully the sales for this game will be enough for Capcom to want to make a new Devil May Cry that's actually good (shots fired to DMC reboot).
