Great game for families
This is a really fun game. In today's world I find everyone has a difficult time focusing, but when you play this, you have to be fully present!

Great game
Very fun game. We bought this as a gift for our neices. From what I remember, you look at a picture and try to remember as much about it as possible before the time is up (30 seconds?). Then you roll the dice and another person asks you a question on the back of the card that corresponds with the same number you rolled. If you get the question right, you can move your token that many spaces. You keep rolling and answering questions until you either get an answer wrong or you roll the same number you already rolled in that turn. Whoever reaches the end of the board first wins. The only thing in the directions we disregarded was that adults get less time. Why??? The game is already difficult enough for adults to be giving more limitations. The game comes with tons of cards so there is a lot of gameplay without duplication. I have a bad memory when it comes to standard memory games or remembering groups of words so I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but the pictures are zany enough that they were memorable and I actually did decently. One thing i didn't like is that your turn is over if you roll the same number you already rolled. I lost due to that (maybe I'm just a sore loser). I think I'll most likely buy this game for my son when he's older as well.

Dyslexia
My eight-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with dyslexia. Her occupational therapist recommended this game to use in her toolbox in training her brain to view things differently and it helps with spatial awareness. She doesn’t even know why I purchased this particular game for her and her and her friends love to play it all the time. We even play it as a family! I highly recommend this game.

Fun Memory game
The game is fun and tests your memory. The pictures are not the best kind of old time scenes not really good for younger kids might be a bit difficult. Adults enjoyed it we shall see when my grandchildren play

Fun for Entire Family
This game was the surprise hit this Christmas. We purchased the game for our 4 year old son, not knowing if he would like it. We often have family game night and Stare continues to be his top choice for several months now. My sons are 4 and 6 so they need help reading the questions on the back of the card, but can otherwise play on their own. It has been encouraging to see our 4 year old improve his attention to detail and recollection of details since he has started playing the game.We also like the fact that you can easily play this game in teams. Our boys can play together on one team against the parents. That helps avoid some of the competitive behavior that can emerge between them with other games. As a true testament to the interest in the game, my 4 year old select Stare! Jr as the game he wanted to give his best friend for his birthday. We ordered ours online so I ended up driving to several stores trying to find a game locally. You know it is a hit when they want to give one to a friend.

Not appealing pictures
I was very disappointed when I opened this game. The pictures are terrible and it looks like they come from an early 1900’s story book. There’s nothing in them that would keep a child’s interest long enough to even want to memorize what’s in it.It’s not that they’re simple, they very detailed, but not appealing and the colors are drab.I feel like the questions are worthless because it would be easier to make up your own questions while you’re looking at the picture and try to think of something fun to say.It was almost like they found some pictures that were no longer copyrighted and thought, “Gee whiz, these will work for our game, and we won’t have to spend a dime.”

great family game
Our family enjoys this game, we even include our 3 year old. When our 3 year old has her turn she gets a card picked with no reading required. Then we ask her the question on the card or we make up a question that is age appropriate and she does amazingly well. For example just ask you child what color a character was wearing or hat was. This works well for us as we can be challenged and it keeps our minds sharp and the little one can play too. We all have fun.Its pretty funny to play as a adult and you get some cards that you wonder if you will remember anything, it will get you laughing at yourself! My only cons are this. Cards are a bit small I feel like I need glasses to play. Cards do bend easy so durability isn't that high. I wish the playing pieces were weighted a bit more so the didn't get knocked off the board so easily. But I wouldn't let that stop me from buying this again.

Fun for all ages! You'll love it.
I bought this game to play with my grandchildren. We played for the first time yesterday and they have repeatedly asked to play again this morning. There were 5 children from age 14 to 4 and they all enjoyed it. Even the 14 year old was surprised by how much he enjoyed playing it with his grandmother and siblings. We helped the 4 year old by having his sister read the questions for him, otherwise all players were equal. I highly recommend this game for the whole family. It especially helps with concentration. My only negative remark is that the box says up to 10 people can play, but there were only 6 player pieces in the box. It worked out well for us, as there were 6 of us playing yesterday, but I'm sure there will be a time soon when more want to play, as it was so much fun. Thank you Game Development Group for a wonderful family game that is easy to learn and lots of fun!
