My Great Big God: 20 Bible Stories to Build a Great Big Faith

I love this book! The pictures hold the attention of my 2 month old, and the stories are really well written. They all rhyme and I find myself really enjoying reading them out loud to my baby. Plus it has a lot of stories to keep it interesting. Would definitely recommend buying this. Will probably be buying another one for my niece as well.

Bought this book for my grandkids - age 3-5 and was pleasantly surprised. This sturdy board book is perfect for small hands and the illustrations are great. However, the best part is the story content. Each of the 20 Bible stories is told in rhyming verse that is easy to understand and entertaining for little minds.Would be great for Sunday school too. Love it and am glad I bought a copy for Grandma to keep at my house too.

Great illustrations and fun rhyming text. Andy Holmes does a wonderful job of summarizing Bible stories for toddlers... I don't mind reading them over and over, which is my barometer for quality kids stories! We received as a gift, but have purchased as baby gifts for several friends

It's a great bedtime story for my daughter, she loves hearing the different stories and reminds me of some of my favorites from the Bible. Fully recommend to anyone with young children to get them started.

I thought it would be more detailed. My fault, the three year old in my class love it!

Each story is illustrated with a colorful picture. The stories will entertain and your kids and keep their attention. Each one makes a nice little devotional for a child.This is a hard cover board book, so the pages are sturdy. I do not know how sturdy the binding is, to me it looks a little less sturdy. So I take one star for the construction of this book and give it 4 stars. I liked this colorful board book that has 20 bible story illustrations. The author says these are to build a Great Big Faith on; I think he’s right. I liked how he goes about telling amazing faith building stories which include bible references so you can go deeper – depending on the age of the child.Each story starts out with the phrase, “My great big God…” then it has about 8 rhyming stanza’s to depict the story and then it ends with “My Great Big God --“Made Everything”, Same line but the last words change for every story.Here’s a sample “keeps me safe…” –Made me” - …”Guides me!”….”has a plan for me”…”makes big things happen.” All these statements say that we have a great big God who cares for me personally and in many different ways. He’s not too big to care.After the story about when Jesus goes to the cross the story title is, “A Great Big Job.” And the last line is “My Great Big God Wants Me to be His Helper!”The author encourages readers to go out and tell others about what Jesus did for us. Show His love to others. Be an encourager.I liked the stories and the way this was laid out.
