When did these things get so pricy? I decided it would make life easier when cooking for a houseful and started checking prices. Shocked at what used to be a ubiquitous and inexpensive kitchen appliance. But I managed to happen upon a sale which made it easier to just hit the button.Truthfully, I used it like half an hour after it was delivered! Washed it and away we went. It reached the desired temperature quickly. It cooks fairly even, although you can see boiling bubbles over the areas where the element is located. Stirring is all that’s needed to ensure everything cooks.I know the instructions say that you can wash it in the dishwasher, but honestly I’m nervous to do that. Also it would take up half the space in the dishwasher. So I cleaned it myself and that was plenty easy. Storage is a consideration as it is pretty large. But I managed to find a spot for it.I’m looking forward to using it during the upcoming holiday season, especially when you have several people cooking at the same time and it’s too crowded right in front of the stove.I did pop a breaker running this, the stove, a craft light, and my air fryer all at the same time! So maybe be mindful of what all you have going.I love that the pan portion can be removed and taken to the table to serve directly out of. I imagine if it is reliabl and stays working a long time I will enjoy many years of cooking in it.

This skillet replaced one that I had for 30+ years. I love the rather elegant shape, which is really nice. Because of its three piece design, the temperature control can be used from either side by simply reversing the cooking pan. The skillet is large, and heats evenly. I have only had it for a couple of months, but because we are remodeling our kitchen and I am currently without a cooktop or oven, it has been used almost daily, for everything from spaghetti to hamburgers to eggs and bacon. I can cook eggs in one end of this skillet and bacon at the other end. It works wonderfully for preparing chicken Alfredo, too. I laugh and tell everyone I feel like a new bride, learning to cook in a single skillet. Nothing sticks, and clean up is so easy; we just wipe it out with a sponge and a drop of Dawn. It would go in the dishwasher easily, too, but mine isn't installed. Probably won't use it for my skillet anyhow. Takes more time than hand washing does. We use only silicone utensils to avoid scratches. The glass lid has a vent, too, but I really love the way the heating unit separates from the base, almost like a chafing dish. It has legs that really add to the looks of this terrific dish if you want to take it to the table. Can you tell I love this item? Great design, excellent to cook with!

Great skillet and non stick, this skillet is ceramic coated and nothing sticks to it like that others, clean up is a breeze.

I recently purchased this electric skillet, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! From the moment I plugged it in, I was impressed by its quick heating capabilities. It reaches my desired cooking temperature in a matter of minutes, making it perfect for busy weeknights. It’s so easy to clean since it breaks down in 3 parts.

The thermostat / power cord was broken in the area that it would have plugged into the skillet so it was not usable, other than that it did look very nice and I liked that it was removable from the frame for washing. I was very easily able to get in touch and return it for a full refund.

Great surface area and depth. Purchased due to gas line repairs as temporary since can't use stove, but after using multiple times I think I'll continue using even after my gas stove becomes operational. Size/nonstick qualities and good design being able to safely lift from base to table makes it very useful and at good price point.

ProsIt's large, makes large skillet meals easy.I love using it for quick sear, sauteed meals, slow cooking and everything in between. I would NOT set it and forget it like a slow cooker, however.It's easy to hand washIt's 99% non-stick if not set on temp that's too hot for the meal being cookedConsIt's large. If you don't need large, storage my be difficultBest not to wash in DW if you want non-stick surface to last
