This review will contain some of the same descriptive language used in another review I made, of another product from the same seller. Forgive me for plagiarizing myself, but it’s easier to convey the useful parts that way. Forgive me also for evangelizing for the seller, Calvina Costumes.I am not a paid shill, and I am not receiving any compensation for my review or my opinions; I'm just a person who's actually sort of excited at having discovered a company that makes respectable historical fabrics and garments for a budget like mine.I am impressed by this tunic! For just over $35, I was not sure how great of a product I was going to get, or how much it danced the line of being a mere "costume" garment. The seller, Calvina, has only had a presence on Amazon since late 2017, and there have been a minimal number of reviews for their products.I needed a few articles of garb in a hurry, and this was on Prime, and sounded like a good deal.I ordered the green, in size XXL, which is, by all rights, too big for me.(The only reason I ordered this size was because I was also ordering the same size for the undertunic, out of necessity, banking on the chance that it might still fit alright, and wanting to make sure that both garments would be the same nominal size from the manufacturer, regardless of how well they matched MY actual size, because this tunic was to be worn over the other)While waiting for the delivery, I Googled Calvina Costumes to try and learn more about them.(You may have further luck Googling "byCalvina", which seems to be the name they sell under in the UK/EU. This is also the name on the label sewn into the neck hem of the tunic)From what I can make out, they are a textile manufacturer in Turkey, who create their own fabrics from cotton, linen, and wool, and they have a side-business making and selling historical garments of a limited set of patterns, from their own cloth.By the time the tunic arrived, I was much more excited than when I'd placed the order. I wasn't disappointed. The fabric is a nice solid cotton, and it does resemble a fine linen in texture. It is not any kind of ‘costumey’ fabric. It’s a real garment I won’t be afraid to wear doing real things. The trim is a nice complimentary set of colors, and looks nice from a distance.Up close, one is forced to politely ignore the fact that gold threads just aren't historically accurate for your average ceorl, but you’re not going to get real tablet-woven braids at this price. No fault here. It could have been an ugly trim, but it’s not. Exactly as pictured in the product pictures.(As noted in another review, the trim does not continue around the back of the neck hem, it ends at the crest of the shoulder.)Regarding the size...When I ordered this, I also ordered the Calvina Costumes Odin Medieval Undertunic by Made In Turkey, XXL .At the time, for that item, the only options were Small and XXL.I consider myself neither of these, at 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with a 41" chest. I probably would have ordered a Large if it were available. But I'd read reviews which suggested they may run a little small, and so I crossed my fingers and hoped it would be "close enough" to work, and it certainly was.I slipped it on over the undertunic, and it does require some gentle flexing and stretching (of you, not the tunic!) to pull it all on and get it settled.Once settled, straightened, smoothed out, and belted, it looked very nice.I did run it through a cold and gentle wash cycle, and tumble dried on low for about 15 minutes.Clearly after a first washing and tumble, the fibers relax and puff and contract, changing it from a crisp flat feel to a broken-in feel (which is what I wanted), which involves a little shrinkage anyway. But you want to be careful, because the trim doesn't shrink, and it begins to pucker a little if the cotton tunic fabric shrinks, changing it from a crisp flat hem to a more worn-in look (which was fine with me).Knowing what I now know about the size & fit, IF I did order Large, I would never machine dry it at any temperature (hang dry only), and I would hand wash it as well. After it came out of the dryer, I noted that the stitch at the base of the keyhole neckline in front had started to pull apart, and I know all about a "stitch in time", so I sat down and gave it a little reinforcement stitching in that spot to pull it back together and ensure that it was solid and unlikely to separate through normal wear and care.I like this tunic a lot, despite my daughter remarking that I look like Link (she’s not wrong). I’d like to get the other colors as well.I did end up cutting out the tag from the inside back of the neck. That would be my sole fault on this item (or any of the other Calvina items I ordered). I hate tags anyway, and they are even less welcome in historical garb. I understand the convention to have them, and I can respect it, but don't expect me to keep them once the garment is mine. For the price, I think this is a great deal. This is “real goods” that you can wear for a costume, or wear in an encampment and do a day’s work in. Sure there are even nicer and more authentic products out there, but for ‘fast and inexpensive’, this is a surprisingly high quality garment.Five stars; Calvina is legit.

Exactly what I wanted!
I love this tunic. I am 5'10" and 165 lbs. I knew I was buying a men's top, so I went with the small hoping it would fit. It's big on me, but I expected and wanted that. The texture is a lot better than I was expecting more rough than smooth. It was more medieval/elf than modern. Again exactly what I wanted. I've not yet worn it with my whole costume, but I'm excited about what the whole outfit will look like together.

A little snug but was PERFECT!
The material of the tunic is a little bit unflexable, so be sure to buy the right size. I bought my size and admittedly it was A LITTLE small, but not unwearable!I got TONS of complements on this tunic, though, and it PERFECTLY completed my outfit (And frankly the tightness of it managed to slim me out a bit! Always a plus!)

High quality fabric. Fit as expected. Good price
High quality fabric. I ordered the small and the sizing was pretty much exactly as described in the sizing chart that is shown in the last picture for the green version of this tunic.

Great Tunic!
Love it! Material is great! Thick high quality! Only wish they would continue the decorative trim around the back of the neck line.
