Good Quality part for the money.
Replaced the open differential unit in my 99 Dodge Durango with this limited slip unit and it is an awesome upgrade! On the 9.25 Dodge differential replacement is simple I suggest using only "Timkin" bearings, good quality gear oil and limited slip additive. I used Lucas 85W 140 gear oil and their additive. The differential is working perfectly. While you have things apart it is a good time to inspect/replace the outer axle bearings and axle seals which are very easy to replace at that time as well.

AMAZING PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE COMPANY!
This is the second rear end we have had to replace in my 05 sierra with 400k miles, so far we have had no problems with it.. the company's customer service team was absolutely outstanding when i had trouble with my purchase of their $40 lifetime guarantee for this part. My card was saying I had been charged twice, but the gentleman made sure I wasn't and even shipped the card for the warranty next day for 100% free! then called me again to tell me he had the tech people check just to be sure. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the people working there! definitely would buy again if i didn't have the warranty for it!

Great upgrade or replacement. Going strong!!
Installed in a 2001 Tahoe. Over 10K miles on it now and no issues. It's very nice living on a farm and not only having 4wd but now having a limited slip rear end. Haven't really needed the 4wd since installation.

Life saver!
The rear end of my 2007 yukon xl tragically exploded with a car full of kids. This vehicle is my daily grocery getter and only vehicle we own that van haul all our kiddos. We were stressing about whether to purchase all the needed parts separately at Advance auto, or buy used. My husband has lots of experience with mechanics, but had never changed an entire rear end and found the task daunting. We took a chance on ordering this rear diff because of the awesome price and reviews (we were skeptical.) He had to get a few small parts from the auto store to go with this (bearings, I think and gear oil) but he got everything installed in a day or two and it works GREAT! The truck now drives better than before, no strange noises and it is holding up great through daily use and abuse. Highly recommend this part (you’ll find this exact part for a few hundred more on other websites!)

Great price, clean and ready to install, easy install
The part itself was fine, direct replacement for gov lock, easy install and no problems with performance. AMAZON....IF YOU ARE GOING TO OFFER ONE DAY SHIPPING THEN DON'T SHOW UP AT 9PM THE NEXT DAY AND CALL IT "NEXT DAY SHIPPING". YOU ARE PROVIDING FALSE HOPE. WTF AM I GONNA DO WITH A PART THAT ARRIVES AT THE END OF THE DAY. 5PM WOULD BE ABOUT THE LASTEST I SHOULD SEE SOMETHING "NEXT DAY". IF FED EX AND UPS CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU.

Upgrade your Gov-lock
Silent and tight. Can instantly feel extra grip. Highly recommend upgrading your open diff or G80 gov lock.

so far so good, still good update!
Updated at bottom.. I didn't just randomly decide to upgrade...this was more a question of what to replace existing yet failing parts with. My 2000 dodge 1500 4x4 was making noises I didn't like... we popped the rear pumpkin and discovered the issue after noticing HUGE driveline rotational play. My differential spiders were definitely on the way out fast...and apparently decided to wallow out the carrier at the same time. Ok I need to get the best value for money spent....would prefer easy to install and while I can accept a higher noise level I would rather not most times. Yet if I could up the off road performance a bit that would be nice. So their went the lockers... more expensive more noise.... The cost difference between a replacement carrier and spider assembly and a LSD wasn't that much. The cost of a lunchbox locker and carrier made that and the mini spool and carrier fall off the table as well as sound and on road issues. So I chose this... as my ring and pinion were just fine.... we set the lash at 0.0055" play and lubed up the rear end with 80-90 conventional as required by yukon and the LSD additive. Over an open differential it's a big step up. Over a failing open differential it's a huge step up. Now my DD/hunting/fishing rig is more capable and for roughly $60 more than replacing the entire dif with an open one I got added traction. Thanks yukon. Approx 1 week later Still happy with it.... it makes a big difference in offroad and on road handling. Yes it opens when not under load but if hard cornering with heavy throttle on a slippery surface (hard packed dirt road....sandy tarmac) expect both rear wheels to break loose and a drift or powerslide to start. Not a bad thing and definitely improves throttle steering but it does change the handling and you should be aware of it. I do realize I drive harder and more confidently than many people especially offroad... and that most folks are just happy to get there they don't need to have fun while getting there quickly....but I do.
