Good starters
Save yourself some money and paint the inside with a few coats of KILLZ or flex seal the bottom to avoid rot and moisture damage. This is a decent starter coop/nesting boxes but wood is not very thick. We live in Arizona and everything dry rots quickly. The inside is best used with sawdust rather than sand or pellets. We also open the lids during the day to allow some drying of the droppings that will quickly warp and soak the wood. I have two of these boxes and I used killz with one and spray white flex seal with the other. I don't notice the difference. I used five coats of killz.

Do not waste your money.
I wanted to wait a few weeks to write a review and I ended up waiting a few months to write a review because I wanted to give it every chance available to be good. The chicken coop is in a chicken run, which has a roof, however, when it does rain extremely hard some of the rain blows into the run and gets inside the chicken coop. The rain gets inside where the hens are because they’re not fully covered at all by this chicken coop there are gaps in the roof. Also when there is hard wind it tips over. We have had to put bricks on top. It is not a quality item. It is very flimsy and not sturdy. The size is not ok for more than 4 hens. The description saying 6 hens is really pushing it. The design is cute and that’s about it. It is not designed for functionality. It has no ease of movement and it is not a good value for money paid as it seems ready to fall apart with the smallest gust of wind. This thing will not last a year. I’m very upset about it.

Easy to put together
Easy to put together, only 2 complaints the roosting bars are pretty low and it took a month to get to me other than that seems to be holding up to the weather

Disappointing
Poor directions, cheaply made, wood splits when you screw things together. Hinges on lid were defective and bow out leaving top of coop open about an inch unless you use something with some weight to it to hold it close. It'll work temporarily, but this won't last long. Highly disappointed because the pictures are so cute.

Not worth the 100$ delivery fee, horrible customer service
100$ delivery fee??? That's so ridiculous....Do not deal with this seller, they ask you upload photos to make sure you are actually missing parts...like what's a picture going to prove??? I told you the exact part I'm missing the two crossbars or letter o on your instructions. I don't like to be taken for a ride... Will never buy from them again. The product it self is not water resistant at all....wood seems cheap, will not lastore than one year if I had to bet... it's aesthetic but a hungry fox could get in...not water tight either, if it rains hard it starts to leak on the inside. Update, seller contacted me, I will change this review once the missing parts arrive

Good for the price
I paid $200 for the coop. Pretty big for the price. Sits on the ground so keep that in mind. The quality is about the same as the ones you can get through RK and TS. So that means that it will last roughly a year or two in the weather.

Safety hazard!
We live in an area where we get real seasons this would not withstand any of it. Item arrived incomplete, used and damaged. We took it out the box and realized that it was very poor quality. The wood came with cracks and is very thin. I notified the seller immediately and it’s been impossible to find a solution. I was not willing to put my chickens in danger. If you live in an area where predators are around this coop will not keep them out. Don’t risk it!!!
