Q: I have 15’ intex pool with 2800 gph intex pump with 1 1/2” connections, and heat pump heated only 1f in 24 hours. do i need a bypass valve?

No need for a bypass valve. please connect it after the filter, before the salt system ( skimmer- pump- filter- heat pump- salt generator- return to pool) , if you have it. Otherwise, Skimmer- pump- filter- heat pump- return to pool

Q: I just unboxed mine and hooked it up (professional electrician and all). It runs fine, but isn’t producing warm/hot water after several hours. Help!

Ensure your pump is a Min 2500 gal per hour or the heater won’t heat Got to have a solar cover to keep heat in Set the high temp at 89 Run in the mornings and when sun is out Won’t work well 40 or below temps Run for 24 hours first time

Q: Will this unit control the pump too? On off timer?

This unit will not control them. It will not run unless the pump is running. So in reality the pump controls the heater. By the way the heater is awesome. I live in Albany ny. Pool was in mid 80’s Memorial Day after open 1 week.
