Great replacement for my 1996 power flusher.
I had to call Sloan to ensure I got the correct replacement for my older toilet, but it fit perfect and came complete with handle assembly and wrench. Very easy to install.

Don't Stand Too Close to Me!
You want a powerful flush? Who doesn't....this baby delivers. It was a little bit fussy to install. You do have to take the tank completely off the back of the toilet. Make darn sure you have a bucket and a big towel, because there will be water. It's one of those projects that, if you had to do it more than once, it would go quicker after the first time. I did have to do the same project about 20 years ago, but that's too long to remember all the nuances of the project. It took me about 2 hours this time.Anyway, it's a bit startling when you first flush it, because it is SO powerful. Small children and pets could get sucked down if they stand too near it....just kidding, but it's fun to think about... ;)

Nice upgrade. Not hard to install and well-worth the price.
Replaced the 25-year old, trusty Flushmate tank (it leaked and did not hold pressure overnight anymore) with this newer model. Pic1 is the old tank, pic 2 the newly installed tank, same location. Only difference between the models (far as install is concerned) is the flush handle (included in the package). This is now via a wire, instead of a direct steel rod linkage. Remember that the flush handle screw is a left-hand thread (I always forget this little fact). The new tank has a more powerful flush and for the last 2 months after install works like a charm. Would purchase again, but hope won't have to for another 25 years.

REVERSING THE FLUSH from the front to the back RESOLVED THE ISSUE.
Easy to install. Replaced a 501 b and although it works, it has to problems.1. Its to high for my tank. I thought this was suppose to be a one for one match. Now my tank cover won't fit.2. Although I like the new flush mechanism the linkage white tab keeps turning and then this jams causing the tank to run forever occasionally.

Great power assist tank, but directions are somewhat confusing.
Flushmate M-101526-F3BK Sloan Flushmate 501-B Tank. An excellent replacement and updated tank. Very well made. I originally ordered an incorrect tank due to "Fuzzy" info in the title description. FYI: the incorrect tank was the "Flushmate M-101526-F31 III 503" which I didn't understand by the description & other provided info was for a top lid, push button flushing unit. This unit the "Flushmate M-101526-F3BK Sloan Flushmate 501-B Tank" is the one I needed which is for an either left or right side or front mounted flushing handle. This unit came with a new flush handle & attached mechanism (different from the original one on the 30+ year old toilet that I worked on.) as well as the 3 in one tool. Was all very nice. I found the instructions to be somewhat confusing and believe that the average person would agree. Adjusting the cartridge is very important and necessary for the unit to work correctly. Took me longer than necessary to install due to the somewhat confusing directions, but all ended well. You will not regret buying this unit if you are wanting to maintain the POWER FLUSH that it provides. It can not be installed into a unit that didn't originally come with this inserted tank.

Snug fit but worked!
Great replacement. Works. Replacing the whole assembly was almost same price as replacement part. Got to love plumbing!

Call FLUSHMATE FIRST
NIce product BUT yo'll struggle to get the correct set-up CALL FLUSHMATE with your EXACT model and serial number to get the exact fit. ALso the new handle system seems universal ...and some seemed to be packed IN the box and some seem to be extra at $25. You'll likely also need the special wrench for $5, agaon SOMETIMES it packed in thebox ??

What a snap to change out.
Replaced old unit with this new one. The old unit had a crack in the seam and not pressurizing. It took less than a hour to un-install old unit and reinstall with new one. Photo 1 new unit in, photo 2 old unit in shipping box. If I had to say anything negative it would be the new unit did not come with new tank bolts and rubber washer, those are fail points due to age. You may want to purchase those at your local before stating the job. I also had a deep well socket, 1/2" that made the job of removing the tank much faster. The tool that's included helps as well with install of new unit. I reused my original flush arm, it is a rod that seems more durable than the one in the box. All in all the toilet is working as good as new. Also the old unit was 10 years old, I hope to get that out of this one.
