SOL DE JANEIRO Delicia Drench Body Butter

This is much more “butter” consistency than the 62 which is a thinner consistency. Both are incredible! I prefer the scent and consistency of the 59 to the 62 though. I initially got hooked on 62 and purchased the lotion to try out new scents from the line. 59 (the purple one) is incredibly thick, heavy, and has a light floral almost a hint of light French lavender and peony scent (it is light and petite). 62 is a slightly thinner, creamy and rich vanilla nutty scent (very tan gleaming beach goddess). Both moisturize like a mf’er. I use after the shower and it is slightly slimy still for a while on the legs but I like that and not greasy slimy at all. Only quip is price but damnit if I don’t keep buying this brand over any other body care line. I own pretty much every single thing this line sells. All great (deo is meh but I keep using it to keep my scents all lined up)

The butter has very good hydrating/moisturizing properties. I use organic body butters made with shea and cocoa butter plus carrier oils and I find the Sol de Janeiro Delicia body butter comparable to those butters. I am skeptical of the claims that it instantly resolves the problem of dry skin in the heels and elbows but then I still have to find a body butter or product that resolves that problem for me. I love the fragrance. I do not find it ‘cheap’ at all and it is more sophisticated than the fragrances usually found in the $6 or $10 drug store butters/lotions. In the container the butter smells exactly as stated in the description of the product. Of course once the butter is applied to the skin the fragrance changes and adapts to the body chemistry as well as the environment. I live in hot and humid south Florida, every fragrance that I apply to my skin smells sweeter eventually. I really like how this butter smells on me even when I sweat under the sun in my hot and humid environment. The fragrance changes when worn outside in the heat but it still remains very pleasant, it does not ‘degrade’ in quality or sophistication. It layers well with my favorite perfumes. As per the intensity, I do not find the fragrance overpowering at all but it stays on the skin and the clothing and the bed sheets like a parfume does. I love that too. Application goes very smooth for me, like shown in the ad. It is expensive. It will not last me long because I use a lot of body butter on my skin after the shower at least twice a day. $50 for the bigger jar is a better value but still expensive.

I’ve heard from misc. people of their love for the Sol De Janeiro products and finally decided to give it a go. What a luxurious body butter this is! Delicia Drench body butter is an experience to be enjoyed bc of the product ingredients and the scent! My skin was left so soft and I fell in love with the warm vanilla scent. I read that this body butter improves the skin’s barrier with bacuri butter fatty acids and moisturizes deeply with hyaluronic acid and I’d say that is correct as my skin looks and feels quite healthy after applying this. It’s a bit pricey, and I like other body moisturizers for my daily routine, but I’m not upset I purchased this. And will absolutely be using more!

I can’t stress how much I LOVE this!!!! It smells heavenly and not to strong so it doesn’t make me sneeze. I would 100% buy again. The body cream is thick, absorbs easily and keeps my skin soft all day long.

I would give 5 stars, but I do think it's over priced. And even using sparingly, you'll have to repurchase often.I like that the smell isn't over powering. I have hard well water that really dries out my skin. This helps drastically, better than any other lotion/cream I've tried.I also get regular spray tans and this has help the longevity of my spray tans. I love how hydrated it keeps my skin without leaving a sticky feeling or residue. I also love that it absorbs super quick. It has a nice thick texture and goes on very smooth.

I am thoroughly impressed with this body butter. It leaves my skin feeling exceptionally soft and smooth. The hydration it provides is remarkable, and it absorbs rapidly into the skin. Additionally, it has a wonderful fragrance, making it perfect for winter. I strongly recommend purchasing this body butter.

I really like this lotion. It’s very soft and hydrating and the nice smell lasts all day. My skin feels very soft from using it. I just ordered the matching body spray.

Live this product! Smells amazing. Makes my skin glisten. Got it for Christmas and already bought another one! Worth the money
