The idea is good but it doesn't really lock the hand grip in place and it could come loose. I think the spring holding the locking pin should be reinforced to make this a safe and worthwhile accessory.

Exactly what I needed, and it has tested to work flawlessly, so far! The FS5 handle clicks right in, just as it does on the camera, and can be turned to all of its locking positions by pushing the button on the handle. The quality is excellent, with no hangups on performance what so ever.I was looking for a solution to be able to use my FS5 handle on my Ronin M, without having to change out a rosette adapter every time, and THIS IS IT! It just arrived and I've only tested it briefly, but I will update my review if anything changes. SO HAPPY that I found this, and for only twice the price of a rosette adapter, I'll take it!

I purchased this FS5 Grip Relocator with high hopes only to be disappointed within the first 5 minutes of use. The flat spring tabs that hold the hand grip in place are not strong enough to keep the grip engaged in the locking mechanism. If you tilt the camera in the wrong direction while holding even partial weight on the hand grip, the grip will disengage and if you don't have a spare hand on it, it could fall off completely. I ended up wrapping a bongo-tie around the grip and this adapter to help keep the grip in place, and even then it would disengage if held at any angle. I have since bought the new Smallrig FS5 Grip Relocator that has an additional clamp to help secure the grip so this doesn't happen.Just trying to save someone else the headache. Just buy the Smallrig version.
