Decided to give shaving with a safety razor a try after spending hundreds of dollars a year on throw away cartridges. I bought a razor and was not impressed with the blades, so I bought a sample pack and these were the winners for my skin and the razor. These stay sharp through 5-6 uses and for the price, you can get close to two year's worth of shaves for a little bit of money. What I would spend in 6 months for cartridges, I bought a safety razor and 20 packs of 5 blades, which should last me about two years of really close shaves and very little irritated skin.

I think these might be my new favorite bargain razor blades. I got some really nice shaves with my Rockwell T2, Rex Ambassador and my new Yates Precision ‘Merica razors.

Lord blades work wonderfully in both my Parker Variant and my 1940s era Gillette!

Good for fine, thin hair. Very stable blades. Great for some beginners too.

I went thru 19 different blades since Christmas. Some sucked, some weren't bad. Wilkinson Sword made it past Feather.I ended up with 2 different blades that both gave good results. The Lord Platinum, and the Persona Platinum.The Persona were twice the price (if I bought 300 blades), even more in smaller quantities.I swap the blades out after 3-4 shaves. Doing more shaves doesn't really save much money (I'm down to about $0.03 per shave).Since it might be useful for someone else, I'm using a Vikings Blade Emperor. I found some differences when I ran the blades in a Maggard V1.

I bought a ton of blade sampler packs. I’ve tried tons of blade brands & for me & my friend the lord platinum is one of the smoothest. I admit I turned my nose up at these in my sampler pack. Everyone raves about Astra or feathers, voshkod etc so I said what’s “lord platinum?” Lord is a major razor blade manufactured that makes shark, Big Ben, asco and lord. Some say these non “class” labeled blades are different. I would agree. I prefer these non “class” labeled versions. I found the “class” version sharper but harsher & less forgiving with not as much smoothness. If I want sharper yet still smooth I like Gillette Nacet blades. My friend has been DE shaving longer then me. He was utterly blown away how smooth these are & are now his new favorite blades too. Price point of $8 for 100 is insane.

I recently bought a Lord razor and the blade that came with it was amazing. I ordered these as the recommended replacement blades. I used three in one shave and still had to resort back to my old razor, because the blades were useless.
