I didn't know I'd like these so much! I often find coasters to be problematic in that they get wet, then they tend to mildew or discoler at some point. These aren't just attractive, the interior part that soaks up condensation is removable - so you can gently clean it, but more importantly, you can let it air out and dry and then put it back inside the wooden ring! These are really very, very nice, and thoughtfully made. The color is a rich brown, and looks so nice in our home.

Looks great in my living room

These are perfect since they have cotton inserts inside a wooden disk. Never can understand stone or plain wood coasters (condensation runs off) or cloth coasters that absorb, but allow moisture to transfer to the table surface. Kind of defeats the purpose!
