FLEXI Vario Retractable Dog Leash (Tape), 16 ft, Large, Red

Absolutely love this leash!!!! I bought it for when my husband and I take our bulldog to the ocean so he can play in the water and we can stay on the beach. It's heavy, good quality, strong enough to hold back our 85lbs. dog. It is a little bit on the expensive side (heard all about how much I spent on a "simple leash" from the hubby) but after our vacation to the beach, my husband won't shut up about how great it is! I even purchased the light and multi box that go with it as well.The multi box is great. When I initially ordered it I thought it had 2 compartments (one for poo bags, the other for treats), not 1 that can be used for either, but it's not a big deal. I had an extra poop bag holder that snaps on the handle. I use the multi box to hold treats, which despite its size holds more than you think. I was a little wary that the multi box would be a problem and slide out from underneath the handle where it connects to the leash but it locks in place, and you have to pull on it pretty good to get it to come off.The light is nice, but could use some improvements . My husband and I do a lot of night time walking with our dog (weather is too hot for him during the day). It has a light for shining outward which makes night time waste clean up easy, and a red light that shines behind you so others can see you, you can have the red light blink or be constantly on. It comes with a Velcro ring to attach it to the leash and a cover for the Velcro when you're not using the light. The only problems I have with the light (this is only for the one I received, not saying it happens to everyone) is that when either the light or cover and pushed, with a good amount of force, on to the Velcro ring to attach it to the leash and then is removed it peels off the Velcro that's supposed to stay on the leash. To me this isn't a big, but to someone who might switch from the light to the cover a lot it could be annoying. Also I wish they would have included and additional Velcro ring and cover so you can choose what side you want your light on. That way depending on what hand your leash is in. Your light won't get blocked by your body, coat, etc.Overalls I highly recommend all 3 products (especially together) if you do a lot of things with your dog, it's definitely the leash pack to have

I love this leash for the most part. It stops quickly on the dot when the button is pressed and it is extremely easy to lock the leash in one moment with your thumb. There is no drag or pull when the button is pressed which is fantastic because I have a 100+ lbs German Shepard Great Pyreneese mix and I live downtown in the city. That brings me to a feature I do not like about the leash which is the fact that It has about 6" to 8" of leash that is always out even when the leash is fully retracted. I understand it is so you can put different accessories on it such as a light up tape part but my dog having a harness on and an additional 6" to 8" gives him the ability to jump on people when it is crowed walking downtown which can be problematic.The grip and handle are both nice and sturdy and there is an option to adjust the grip to fit smaller hands which is great for my fiancé. I also like how customizable the leash is and how it has an option to add a waste bag holder, however it gets pretty expensive to add all of the attachments especially when the price of the leash itself is pretty pricey.The tape itself is extremely strong and does not seem like it will rip or tear like our old Kong leash did. This leash is perfect for large dogs and feels extremely sturdy. I would definitely recommend this for any large dog owner.

This is my second Flexi Vario retractable leash. I have a small one for my small dog and I bought this one for my PitBull. I love that it is 26' long, it makes it super convenient for me to take the puppy out cause I don't have to walk everywhere with him. This lead is nice and long so he can god do his business and I can pretty much just wait one the patio.The leash comes with its own nylon constructed choke type collar and instructions on how to use the lead. I also have added the red led leash section to the end of the lead. If I were to guess, it adds an other 18" to his leash. This can be used three ways (steady on, quick flash, and slow flash) this allows you to easily locate your dog in the dark. I also have the round LED light that attaches to the side of the leash. It allows you visibility with white and red led lights.I find this to be a very versatile leash and has many accessories you can add to make your own perfect leash. Oct 2, 2016.This is my 3rd retractable leash for my 9 month old, 70lb labrador. He's been able to completely destroy (by pulling) the retracting/locking mechanism in both. This leash is substantially more heavy duty in feel. The retraction/locking mechanism feels tight, sturdy and sure. My pup could pull hard enough to strip the gears on the prior ones, this feels like it will last. The leash tape...is thicker, heavier and of a tighter more durable weave than the others. The locking mechanism is more positive and he can't pull any leash out after it's engaged. Prior leashes, he was able to pull about another foot out before it would stop spooling. At this point, I've only used it for a day but it's really robust compared to prior leashes. The feed guide that the leash runs through as it reels in, actually does work to decrease the twisting of the leash. My other leashes didn't do this and were a pain. Anyway, If it doesn't last or fails in anyway, I'll update. But just in comparing the quality of this in hand, right now, it is significantly more robust.

Está correa es de muy buena calidad, la usamos en una perra Huskie de 24 kg muy muy inquieta y que se jalonea mucho en los paseos, funciona muy bien, es de materiales de alta calidad y los 5 mts de largo le otorga a mi perrita un sentido de libertad. En poco pesada pero supongo es por la calidad de loss materiales, anteriormente probé una correa que al segundo uso se rompió, así que no me causa problema el peso.Actualización: 2 años ya de haber comprado esta correa y sigo muy satisfecha. Desde luego está desgastada por el uso pero sigue igual de resistente. De verdad que está excelente.

These are the longest retractable leash you can buy at the time. This is the second one for the second Rottweiler I adopted. I took my time getting this as they are a terrible leash to train a dog with and should only be used once your dog is well behaved and listens to you or they simply create more behavioural problems. My Rottweilers love these leashes as it gives them that feeling of freedom and has helped to train them to respond to voice commands off leash. Good quality so far and has held up to a 85lb and 95lb Rottweiler.
