Who verified this fits a 2005 F-150? IT DOESN'T!!!!!!!!

I had my doubts on this cheap quick release, but I'm probably going to end up using it on my hot rod drift car. The surface finish is decent and the click if the release/engagement is satisfying. This one uses splines for motion transfer, and the four ball bearings are just for the quick release aspect. I like that it's small as well, this is perfect for my hot rod/drift rod setup because it's not huge and bulky like the kind from 10-20 years ago.One of the splines is larger than the other, and that's how it keeps from being clocked wrong, assuming you installed the car mounted portion correctly.It's no works bell or motion raceworks, but you can save $300+ and put that towards other mods instead of bragging rights.The unit is easy to disassemble with just one clip. I modified mine to be a little more "smooth" sounding by sanding the inside with 220 grit sand paper. Then I put some new grease on (don't use red sticky grease, just white lithium or something light), and now the QR is buttery smooth.

Good firm locking engagement and sturdy feel. Splines were a little rough around edges, but filing or use would debur. I chose to file so that it would be smoother from the beginning.
