I purchased this butterfly compact for my mother as one of her Christmas presents. It's beautiful, & very well made. It's fairly heavy weight (the weight is listed as 5.6 ounces) and definitely not flimsy. It has the same look and feel as a vintage mirror compact in terms of size and weight. There were no loose stones or sharp edges, nothing shoddy. It looks intricate and elegant. The craftsmanship was very good. It's easy to open & the mirror inside was not broken or scratched. The dimensions are listed as 2.6 x 2.6 x 0.4 inches, so it's the regular size of the old mirrored compacts. It arrived in a very nice jewelry box, suitable for gifting, and contained a jewelry bag to protect it in your purse, as well as a cloth to clean the compact. In this twenty dollar price range, it was a great value buy! Perfect as a present! My mother loved it!:) I think it would make a great gift for anyone for Mother's Day, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Bridesmaids, Birthday, etc! I liked the one I bought for my mom so much that I went back and purchased one for myself in a different design. In this modern age of selfies and cell phones used as quick mirrors on the go, there's something really charming about the vintage style and elegance of this compact.

We bought this as a mother day gift and it was beautiful! Looks expensive but it's afford and sturdy! This could easily be giftable for any occasion and possibly even pasted down to the next generation! Beautiful.

Great gift for a special occasion! I liked the design on the front; not too gaudy; comes in a little box with a pretty pouch to protect it in your purse. Not sure how durable it is because I gave it as gift to someone. Presents well!!
