This replica sword was released a while ago; so it's not as readily available as it used to be. Finally decided to purchase. There are many reviews of the sword online, so will just say this replica is all I hoped it would be, and worthy companion to United Cutlery's excellent Orcrist replica. Heavy, graceful, and well made - excellent replica at this price point. I've seen replicas made of all polystone or something - if u want metal this is it. Great purchase.And will Thranduil make an appearance in Amazon's Middle Earth series? Well, timeline-wise, the King of the Greenwood COULD, in theory. His father Oropher fell in the War of the Last Alliance, and Thranduil returned to the Greenwood as King. So mount this beautiful blade on the wall and be ready for watching the Amazon series set in the Second Age of Middle Earth. There seems to be little information about Thranduil's sword, but it could have been around then.

The replica weapons from the movies made by United Cutlery-there is no questioning the quality in anything! The sword was very realistic to the actual length, was surprisingly heavy, came with a wall mount, certificate of authenticity and a slight background on the weapon, the character it primarily was linked to and what the symbols and crests stood for. I just can't say enough about how impressed I was with this purchase! Very much worth the investment!!

The sword itself is beautiful and has good heft to it. It's a unique style, with no color to the hilt, aside from some fake aging: just metal and engravings. I love that it is horizontally mounted--it really adds character to a wall with other United Cutlery pieces.The only issue I had with this was the plaque--in order to fully tighten the hooks that balance the sword, I had to put a crack in one of the hooks. The supplied screws simply would not tighten without applying what was evidently too much pressure, which leads me to believe that I received one that was slightly misaligned in terms of hole placement.

It's a work of art. It's heavy, in a proper, quality worksmanship way, and it's very well balanced. For the price, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed by the exceptional quality with which it is made. I read some reveiews of others expressing that their notches/open cut-out decorative loops that appear along the top edge of the sword are, are glued on, vice welded or stamped out of solid metal. Mine appear not to be stamped out of solid metal but affixed in applique style. Whether glued on or welded on, mine seem securely affixed, giving me no concern for them popping off.
