Amazing customer service... unit stopped working and seller made it right.
UPDATED REVIEW: I think I just got a one off unit that had a bad switch in it. That type of thing happens. I reached out to the seller and they made it right very quickly. This seller is great to work with, I would have no concerns that any issues you have will be resolved quickly. Buy with confidence.I did a lot of looking for a grinder and this is the one I settled on because of the removable cup. I used it a total of three times and it stopped working. As usual, it happened just after my return window. It sounds like the switch went bad inside because it doesn't "click" anymore when depressing the lid to start the grinder. I think I just got a bad unit and hope that Kaffe makes it right.

Good price, satisfactory performance
I bought this grinder to replace a new Cuisinart model that had stopped working. It was about half the price, and, so far, so good. The most common knock of this item in its reviews was an inconsistent fineness. I did observe some inconsistency (@ 1 notch coarser than "fine", but the Cuisinart also exhibited the very same issue. One plus for the Kaffe is that it is slightly easier to get access to the burr to see if a bean is jammed. I had gone through many gyrations trying to make sure that the Cuisinart issue wasn't a jammed bean before returning, with no results. Of course, after I received this grinder and was packing the Cuisinart up to ship, out popped an unground bean :-) I decided to keep the Kaffe anyway, The only drawback for me compared to the Cuisinart is slightly smaller capacity, but I'm grinding beans for 4 - 12 oz mugs daily, so that is not of major consequence.

Great Product and Customer Service
The coffee grinder is easy to use and grinds the beans with precision. Customer service is remarkable as I lost the small internal cap and made inquiry to determine if I could purchase one. Customer service sent me the cover cap immediately and would not take payment.

It isn't worth half the price.
A waste of money. When I tried to use it the first time the bottom drawer that the ground coffee goes in flew out and spilled all the grinds. I tried it a second time while holding the bottom draw so it wouldn't fly out and now it blew coffee all over my table. That is not the worst part. Then I called the company phone number for support. It rang about 5 times then I got a loud screeching noise in my ear. I tried to reach them 3 more times after making sure that I was calling the right phone number. Same screech after 4 or five rings.I don't think they have customer service. That means (to me) there is NO valid warranty for the product if I can not reach customer service for an RMA. Back to Amazon it went. Amazon is great, Kaffe (in my opinion) is not a word that I want to write.I went and purchased a Krups from Amazon. The Krups is a real product from a real company. I have used their products for over 20 years. It was great (for it's price point) and worked perfectly right out of the box. Both Krups and Kaffe cost about the same. Just trying to provide a little information, nothing in it for me. Choose wisely. ...

A Fine Grind(er). A Fine Company.
This is an updated review.Subsequent to my original review of the Kaffe Coffee Grinder, where I found I wasn’t able to get a very fine grind, and certainly not one whose performance aligned with the seller’s description, Kaffe reached out to me. Based on my review, they thought it likely that the machine I received was defective. So, they sent me a brand-new replacement. They were right, and I knew it as soon as I turned on the replacement grinder; it sounded different, more aggressive, if that makes sense. Anyway, the long and short of it is that the replacement Grinder has fully lived up to my expectations, and I am able to get the fine grind that is asserted by the seller. So far, the grinder has been terrific. I use it every morning, and in my opinion, there is no better coffee flavor than fresh ground, right at the time of use.Besides the performance of the Kaffe Grinder, mention should be made of their customer service. They contacted me on their own initiative and, without hesitation, offered to send a replacement. They obviously take pride in their products, reputation and the satisfaction of their customers. Also, I prefer to support, as much as is possible, small privately owned companies, like Kaffe.Based on all of the above, I’ve updated this review to 5-Stars. And thank you to Kaffe for making things right.End of Update.Well, unfortunately, despite my high hopes, the Kaffe Coffee Grinder has turned out to be a disappointment, and for one simple reason: it doesn’t grind very finely.I ordered it initially because I thought its design and aesthetic would work well as a companion to our Ninja coffee maker, and in that respect, it does; they look great together. And in all respects, the machine has the appearance of quality. As the seller asserts, it is simple to use and easy to keep clean. It’s attractive and has a relatively compact footprint. All parts necessary for cleaning are easily removed. This includes the collection bin and its lid, the coffee bin that unscrews to allow for cleaning the grinding blades, and its lid.Despite the fact that the seller states on the point-of-purchase page that the Kaffe Grinder will produce an “espresso-fine” grind, that has always been for my use, almost a powder, it doesn’t grind nearly that fine. And if that is what you’re looking for, this doesn’t appear to be the machine for you. On its finest grind setting, it produces, in my opinion, a drip or pour over grind that is still chunky. The course setting produces bean fragments as large as one-third of a bean. There may be a use for that coarseness, but not one I’ve ever had. Between its coarsest and finest grind there are 19 nicely click-stopped settings, with very little distinction between them; they probably could have gone with just the three marked settings of Fine, Medium and Course. The grind setting is changed using a dial under the bean bin; a feature I like.I use a refillable stainless-steel K-Pod in the Ninja Coffee maker with it set for Espresso, but the coffee maker also has settings for dispensing a regular cup of coffee. When I fill the pod with coffee using the fine grind of the Kaffe Grinder, it produces a fresh, tasty cup of coffee distinctively more flavorful than those produced with pre-ground beans. This makes the machine useful for those who have no need of the very fine grind typically used for espresso.I was really looking forward to the freshly ground coffee the Kaffe Grinder is meant to supply, except it doesn’t appear useable for my purposes. Darn.

Does exactly what I purchased it for.. grind my coffee beans well and inexpensively. I can’t complain about that.

The Pros and Cons
Pros: cheap price, selectable grind size, not the loudest grinder, simple one button use, it's a burr grinder (not blade)Cons: cheaply made, no selectable amount ground, the whole bean chamber is quite smallMine arrived with the cheap plastic grind chamber broken and I returned it. To be fair, it looked like the box had been damaged during shipment. I rarely give anything less than five stars, but I can't do that with this one. It's just too cheaply made and I like to set the amount it grinds since I don't want a lot of leftover ground coffee. That's why I have a coffee grinder, to have freshly ground coffee.

Do not buy for esspresso grind
This unit works ok for basic drip coffee. Set to the finest setting, the size comes out 4 x larger than esspresso and the size is inconsistent.
