Length:4x4 HDMI Mini Matrix - 4K HDR 18GBPS This matrix is a 4K 4x4 Hdmi Matrix Switcher (HDR, YUV 4:4:4, 18GBPS Bandwidth, Dolby Atmos) with simultaneous optical audio outputs and HDCP2.2 support! DON'T BOTHER BUYING ANY SWITCHER THAT DOESN'T SUPPORT HDCP 2.2. ALL FUTURE MEDIA REQUIRES HDCP 2.2...OTHERWISE, YOU'LL HAVE A BLANK SCREEN ON YOUR TVS. All new Apple TVs, Chromecasts, Rokus, and Fires all need HDR support! This switcher allows you to route 4 input sources (Bluray, Cable Boxes, Directv, etc) to 4 output sources (Televisions, Projectors, etc). It supports full 4K HDR resolution and up to HDCP2.2! It comes BRAND NEW with remote control, power cable, rack ears, RS232 serial cable, and IR extender. The simultaneous optical audio outputs are incredibly important and necessary! Let's say you have 4 Apple TVs going to 4 different Televisions. Additionally, you have multi-channel amplifiers powering ceiling speakers for each of the televisions. Apple TVs don't have optical outputs anymore...only HDMI outputs. So with this matrix, you would simply plug the Apple TV HDMI outputs into the 4 HDMI inputs. And then connect the simultaneous optical audio outputs to your multi-channel amplifier...quick and easy! This setup would be much more difficult with other HDMI matrix units with no optical audio outputs. You would need to buy a bunch of HDMI to optical audio adapters, as well as many more cables....it would be a mess! Also, no other HDMI matrix has as many convenient control methods as mine does. RS232 software and web browsing control is ready out of the box! This matrix is guaranteed to perform just as well, or better, than any other matrix in the market. Even those that sell for $5,000 or more! Don't be fooled by the AV industry! There is no need to overpay for the latest technologies!

Great matrix... but no HDR support
So, a little context... I had a new home built with CAT6 and speaker wiring everywhere all coming back to a single location where I have centralized my wiring and equipment into a 44U AV rack. I placed dual CAT6 jacks everywhere that I wanted to place a TV... 8 locations to be exact. This matrix was an awesome device for my implementation.... the value is great for what you get (which includes everything you possibly need). So far, I get excellent video quality (4k with 60hz) with my DirecTV boxes, Roku Ultra, etc... I was able to add the matrix as a device to my Logitech Harmony hubs and use dedicated Logitech harmony hubs in every location.... the switching of activities and device control with this matrix and the Logitech remotes works great... the flexibility of the dedicated audio outputs to my audio receivers for my media room (7.1) and living room (5.1) is also a great plus and they work real well... I only have one real con to this switch.... 1) It does not support HDR over 4k.... I understand there have been bandwidth challenges with HDR over HDBASET.... however, there are new HDBASET extenders that now support HDR... and there are also a couple of matrixes out that also support HDR over HDBASET...

Not as nice as I hoped but okay
For the price I expected a better crafted piece of equipment. The remote is kind of flaky and cheaply made and the fan noise is a little loud. This unit is very similar to the Brightlink 8x8/8x16 HDBaseT/HDMI Matrix Switcher, which I recently returned to another seller due to issues with no picture when the TV was turned on until I changed inputs. Gladly, this unit does not exhibit this problem, though it did become non-responsive after going to sleep and would only wake up on a power cycle. A factory reset resolved this issue. I must say that No Hassle AV International has been extremely prompt to respond to any inquiries. The manual is poorly written and assumes a lot of the user. Someone who is not technically minded and unfamiliar with HDMI protocols may feel overwhelmed. Now the good stuff, the picture is quite good. I would say noticeably better than the old Octava HDMX48CAT 4x8 HDMI CAT6 Matrix Switch which it replaced and I liked very much until outputs began to fail. Having the mirrored HDMI outputs is great and using a single CAT6 cable is better than using two as the Octava did. I can use the extra cable for LAN connections to the smart TVs. I find LAN beats WAN for streaming.

Works great with XBox One X - HDR10
Ordered this 8x8 switch, and super happy I did. Support was super responsive - Thanks ALEX!!!, and I was trying to get my One X to work with HDR10 on my Sony 2017 900 series TV. The trick was to just copy the EDID from the source, I think it may be mis-named, where it says copy from TV1-8, regardless my Xbox input was 1, and TV output was one.. When I copied from 1, I got all green on my xbox status! I inquired with another vendor who has a similar product, and never heard back. So just from the customer service, this should probably get 5*, then you add the product that works pretty flawlessly. I can't really notice any lag (not an expert), but overall works well. Oh, you need to get CR2025 watch battery for the remote, as it does not ship with one.

Product Is Not Plug and Play
Update (update form 1 to 3 stars):I still have not gotten this product to work using my own cables and setup. It appears that this product is very particular with ethernet wiring schemes and does not work with any cables that can be bought on amazon. I purchases this cable ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BNKV60O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and it does not work with the unit. I researched another more expensive cable ( https://www.amazon.com/InstallerParts-Ethernet-Cable-Shielded-Booted/dp/B01DQ6QH6A/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1523207884&sr=1-6&keywords=200+ft+shielded+cat6+cable ) and the seller of this extender told me it will not work with the unit. If purchasing this, I would recommend doing your own wiring, starting outside the wall first, and confirming it works before deciding to keep it. The seller was unable to recommend a cable on Amazon that was longer than 150ft that would work with this box. So I will probably have to terminate my own cables to get this to work, which is still TBD. The reason I am updating my rating is that the seller clearly stands behind the product. They provided a cable ~50ft long with the correct wiring to prove that the boxes do in fact function as expected. This neither fits my need (I require about between 150 and 200 ft) nor allows me to say that the unit will work with runs >50ft, but I suppose it does suggest that the unit is not defective. So if you are comfortable terminating your own CAT6 wiring or looking for something for only about 50ft, buy this box. If you need something plug and play (like I was hoping to get at this premium price) look elsewhere. I would buy from this seller again (I gave them a 5 star seller review), but I probably wouldn't recommend this unit.Original Review:This item did not work for me. After struggling for 2 hours to get it working with my marantz receiver and projector, I set up the simplest possible configuration and still couldn’t get it working. I used my spare tv and plugged my blu-ray player directly into the tv to confirm I got a signal. It worked. Then I swapped HDMI cables and confirmed again, to ensure both HDMI cables were good. It worked. I then powered everything off, plugged in the Blu-ray to the transmitter, cat6 from transmitter to receiver, and HDMI from receiver to the tv, then powered everything up. No signal. The units are sending power over Ethernet (the front light is on) but there is no status light on the back (where the manual says I can check for connection status. I swapped out for a short cat5e cable. No dice, still no signal. So in short, everything was confirmed working, but this product can not connect or transfer video. I will be returning to Amazon and would not recommend this product.

Great device but....
This device is not a finished product. It works great at 4K HDR resolution at short distances but once you switch to 1080p HDR the video has the gradient affect and it ruins the picture quality. I have a 50+ ft cable so switching to 1080 is the way to make it work but the HDR function is not optimized at all. why not? this is 2018 and HDR is one of the most important features and it should work for 4K and 1080p for any device, otherwice the product is not ready for sale. I was thinking about using their HDBaseT extender, but the price is $250, almost as much as the device itself, while other sell for $60, huge difference. You will have to spend $600 for the matrix and the extender as a package.
