This cute little jar was originally a coffee jar, which has been up-cycled by hand using the crafting technique decoupage. The base layer is made up of music note strips cut from an old Disney music book and the pink butterflies have a foil effect look and where cut from a roll of wrapping paper I had purchased from my local shop. Unfortunately, after applying the full coats of decoupage glue, I noticed that the colour had run below one of the butterflies and this must have transferred from the brush to the bottom layer. If I cover the smudges I will need to redo the full coat layers which may cause further smudging. The smudge also adds to the uniqueness of the jar. The quote on the front of the jar reads "Listen to your heart. It will tell you what to do." and the text was cut from a Disney Princess Annual. This handy little jar can be used for a variety of things such as storing paint brushes, makeup brushes, drumsticks or just simply to brighten up your room maybe even add some artificial or pom pom flowers.
