Fantastic build with lovely little details
The media could not be loaded. My daughters are over the moon with this Lego Friends hospital - it makes a great addition to their existing playsets and similar to the other larger Lego Friends builds, this one is also full of little details and fun features. The build itself is easy to put together. There's 2 pictorial instruction books inside - one for the helicopter and a thicker one for the hospital. Each page is very simple to follow, with just the addition of a small amount of bricks at a time. My daughters, aged 9 and 14 managed to put this together without any problems. The overall build is quite sturdy - we had no problems transferring it to a different room after building. The bricks are of the usual excellent quality you'd expect and they hold together well. The hospital is full of fun rooms, ranging from a maternity ward and an x-ray room, to a prosthetic clinic - there's also a vet on the lower floor! There's a rather cool working lift with a glass look front and a helicopter pad on the roof too.The hospital comes with 5 figures, 2 baby figures, a dog and a little medical robot, so even if your little ones are new to the Friends series, there's plenty in this set to keep them busy.Overall it's a fun, detailed playset that provides not only a fun building experience, but hours of imaginative play :)

A big upgrade over the previous Friends hospital set.
My daughter owns the previous two floor Lego friends Hospital set (set #41394) from a couple of years back which I felt was a little underwhelming, especially when comparing to the recent Lego city example (#60330). The friends design team may have felt this too, as here we have a much bigger set on the hospital theme which brings a lot more play features and details to the table. My 7yr old daughter is getting well versed in the ways of Lego and was able to complete this set almost unaided with only minor guidance on some of the more technical parts, like the lift. I’d say the age rating of the set is about right, although it might depend on your child’s experience with Lego building. As usual, the instructions are clear and my daughter is really enjoying the build aspects of sets these days, maybe even more than playing with / displaying them.As you would expect from the hospital setting, there are loads of play opportunities here, from the X-ray department, to the maternity ward and the working lift. Many small details and little touches are included as usual with Lego products. Me and my daughter liked the therapy dog and little robot helper (who even has his own charging station!) A helicopter is the sole vehicle included, there is surprisingly no ambulance (not an issue for us as we have the older hospital which came with one of those).Overall, this is another lovely large build from the Lego Friends sub theme, perfect for a main gift for Christmas or birthday.

Great set for older little people!
This set has been a big hit with our niece, who just had her 6th birthday. The set is aimed at children aged 7+, but with a bit of help from her dad, our tester had the hospital assembled and accepting patients without difficulty. The main difference between this set and 'proper' Lego is the size of the figures - they are bigger and more realistic than the traditional minifigs. The bricks are identical to - and compatible with - standard Lego, so you can mix and match this set with Logo City, Classic, Creator etc. sets. The quality of the parts is exactly what you'd expect from the market-leader - excellent. That's nothing less than I'd expect at this price. I've marked the set down on value for money, because Lego has become very expensive, and is not really a 'pocket money' toy any more. That said, Mrs Z. has tested a few 'replica' sets recently, and you definitely get what you pay for.The instructions are clear, although Dad did mention that our junior tester didn't always follow them!I've criticised Lego in the past for focusing on expensive film and game tie-ins, and for making sets that were more of a collector's item than a toy. This is a welcome return to form for Lego, who seem to have changed their strategy back to making sets you can actually play with.If you have deep enough pockets, this set and the others in the range are ideal for kids who have grown out of Duplo, but are not quite ready to tackle 'grown-up' Lego.

Good entertainment for kids and grownups
The media could not be loaded. So far so fun. This lovely Lego kept my daughter busy for hours, she did a big progress with the building.Clear instructions to follow in the booklet. It has a separate booklet for the helicopter. It's quite easy for a 7+ not much of the assistance required.

Expensive, but lots of play value built in
Obviously, being LEGO, you can combine the contents of the box with other bricks you already own to make your own things, but the set is predominantly intended to be self-contained, building a hospital with many different areas. The figures supplied are slightly more realistic than the older LEGO figures and have already been given names to fit into the rest of the expansive LEGO Friends universe. The build itself takes a while and, depending on the capabilities of your child, can require a significant amount of adult input. The instructions are straightforward and logically laid out, but require patience. Once finished, the kit looks impressive and offers hours of entertainment to your child.LEGO is at the top of its game, here, but you pay for the privilege.
