Attractive, quality, fairly accurate
I noticed that it reads a few degrees higher than what the news says but is is consistent with other thermometers I have so I think it is pretty accurate. It looks fantastic and seems to be of good quality. I love the copper color. I mounted it just outside my sliding patio door in the jamb so I can look out and see the temperature from inside. I've tried several other systems and this is my favorite.

I like it!
I've been looking for a temperature gauge that looks vintage for the exterior of my home that has copper accents, and found it! This thermometer arrived well packaged with screws to hang it. I would have loved it to be a bit bigger for easier reading but am very happy with it's appearance and it appears to be functioning well (i've only had it hung outside for a day at the writing of this review). I gave it a 4 in accuracy and ease to read because of it's size and only 20 degree intervals are boldly marked.

nice subtle little thermometer.
bought this to replace a big/ugly thermometer on the back deck. Its size is nice that you can read well, but not huge/ ugly eyesore. Some reviewers said the accuracy was off, and i haven't noticed it being more then 1 or 2 degrees off in either direction. Easy to install, screws and hardware included. nice bronze/antique look. metal and plastic materials are a little on the "cheap" end but they "Look nice"I'll update to see its longevity and durability.

Absolutely beautiful!
It looks pretty on line, but it is even more so when you receive it! As you probably know a mercury thermometer is more accurate than the digital weather stations for your home, in fact, most will tell you to calibrate by checking one. I went on line to find something that would look nice on our deck and found this little beauty. Love that it was easy to hang up with the screws and washers included. It swivels, but is not too loose. Very accurate as far as I can tell, when the sun is not directly on my weather station the temps match.

Not bad for the price, but probably won't last a long time.
This is a very nice looking thermometer, definitely a step up from plastic card thermometers from Taylor or Timex. As other's have noted, its a bit cheaply made.Pros:1. It's really nice looking out of the box.The Antique Copper finish looks like antique copper.2. Appears to be reading the correct temperature indoors. We have not mounted it outside yet. This is important, as after all, that's what a thermometer is for. When I shopped at our local hardware store, every Taylor alcohol (the red stuff inside the glass tube) thermometer had a different temperature, and all of them were wrong.3. Comes with mounting screws which have a dark copper color. The included screws will look nice against the thermometer's mounting bar.4. Good adjustability.Assuming you get the thermometer mounted level, the mounting bars allow it to both move in and out and be rotated, so you can aim it just where you want. This is important for an outside thermometer you read through a window. The mounting has the right stiffness to stay in place once adjusted. Some cheap plastic card thermometers can only be adjusted in increments, which makes it harder to get the aiming "just right".5. Can be opened for cleaning. The clear plastic tube can be removed by pulling up on the upper mounting bar, which allows it to be removed for cleaning. The bottom metal piece which holds the plastic tube also has holes in it to allow for drainage if moisture gets inside.Cons:1. The horizontal bars which connect to the top and bottom of the thermometer are bent. The vertical bar (what you mount to the wall) is too short, so the horizontal bars which connect the mounting bar to the top and bottom of the thermometer have to bend to fit. This is not a big issue, but is noticeable. Once mounted, most people would not see this. I don't know if this is a design or a manufacturing issue. When I removed the clear plastic tube, it looks like maybe this was made a bit too long, so that may explain why the mounting bars have to bend.2. The knob on the top (finial) arrived bent. It's not hard to bend back, so not a big deal, but is again a reflection of lack of quality.3. The glass thermometer tube appears to be glued in place, instead of held by a clip.Curiously, the plastic card with the temperature markings has an opening in it just above the top markings which appears designed to allow a clip to go around the glass thermometer tube to secure it. But there's no clip. Very cheap thermometers which have a glass thermometer tube and a plastic card with temp. markings usually have a clip to hold the thermometer tube in place. It's a cleaner look without the clip, but another reviewer showed that his glass thermometer tube fell off after time.4. The clear tube which covers the thermometer is plastic, which is likely to yellow over time. While plastic can be made somewhat UV and aging resistant, I've found that most clear plastic yellows and clouds over time. A better thermometer would use a glass tube. However, the product description clearly notes that it uses a plastic tube, and this does make it less prone to getting broken. All that said, for under $17 this is a pretty nice thermometer compared to a $7 open plastic card. A better made thermometer which looked like this would cost a lot more.Note: the back of the plastic card which has the temperature markings has an "HS" logo. I was unable to figure out what company this is.

Love this thermometer! Thank you Bjerg Instruments for a quick delivery.
I bought four thermometers as last minute Christmas gifts, one in antique copper finish and three in satin nickel. I could not have been happier with either the products or the service. I received them right away (in time for Christmas) and the thermometers are nicer than I had expected. Everyone loved them, and since one of them was for my husband I also get to enjoy it. These are very nice looking thermometers, easy to read, and the quality of this product exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with this purchase and appreciate the great service from Bjerg Instruments.

GREAT
Exactly what I wanted reminds me of the film Time Machine with Rod Taylor something from that era.

very nice looking thermometer
i love the looks of this thermometer. after about 1 month, one morning after a very cold night the tube had fallen out...on Christmas day...i got a response right away and a new thermometer without any trouble, being told sometimes they get shaken loose. the thermometer seems to be reading fine, at least during the cold season. but then, i really have no other one to compare it to....other than the one where the tube had fallen out, because a friend of mine fixed it, and now both thermometers are reading the same. however, my friend also thought the one he repaired was reading too high.so i will be getting a different one from somewhere else to check, because, if it reads correctly, then i am for sure sticking with this one for other locations.i only substracted 1 star because i have not double checked the accuracy.
