Brilliant, well made knife. This is not a EDC though as you can see from the image i have attached. Would be fine to use at work but be careful you don’t forget where you put in on your person, forgetting it’s in your pocket after work would prove to be problematic and lead to prison time if caught. Hefty weight and feels quality, very sharp, grip is solid.

I bought this for my tool kit. I needed a substantial “weighty” lock knife for single hand use in the garage and garden etc. it’s very stiff out of the box. See how well that lasts. Nice grippy handle. There is a finger slot to aid one handed opening. The lock feels strong. The blade is pretty sharp but I’ve already improved the edge to help strip wire and shave surface wood or paint blemishes. Comes with a strong sheath / carrier pouch. I’d definitely advise anyone buying this to check local laws. It cannot be carried in public in UK. It is a lock knife. Reasonable excuses would be hard to find as would claiming it’s a work tool when you are not working or you’ve finished and not secured it in your tool box. It’s a hefty looking knife. Not worth time in jail forgetting it’s in your pocket in the street. Mine is already in the tool box next to a few tatty older knives. For the price I think it’s a bargain. I plan to keep this one in the pouch and link a carabiner and para cord to it for use up ladders cutting plant life and other debris out of the guttering. Probably why my other knives are beaten up and tatty :-(

I admitandly don't own many knives but I'm very impressed with the Gerber. It's a nice weight feeling solid without being heavy, arrived razor sharp and the rubberised grip is comfortable and practical too. Locking mechanism is a bit stiff to release but for this price point it's an absolute steal.

This is a great looking knife however I got this to replace one I lost at work of a similar blade length which would also be considered illegal to carry, however this I think, if found in your pocket by a copper compared to other knives would definitely raise suspicion not just based on the length and locking ability but how wide the blade is, I mean it just looks menacing! That being said.......I'm a fencer and use my knife daily and this has a great grip and sturdy blade, wasn't as sharp as expected however I fixed that in under a minute with my SHARPAL, which is another great tool to keep in you pocket alongside any knife! I can't stress enough that if like me it's imperative that you have a locking blade to use for work and that you have something in your pocket ready to use this will be harder to explain away if your stopped with it in your pocket, which to me is a big deciding factor for any knife I own! I would recommend this is probably only suitable for people working in isolated areas such as farmers and the like where you're probably never gonna run the risk of being stopped with it in your pocket!, that is the only reason I have given it 4 stars as it is a 5 star product. Just to put into perspective how big it is I have include a picture of the knife next to a debit sized card!
