This is a great little tool for helping diagnose vehicular vibrations, i was experiencing vibration when braking lightly at high speeds and having recently installed 380mm 2 piece brake disks i wasn't convinced the brakes were the actual cause. I used this to check the run out of the discs which confirmed they were infact running true. Alot of brake disc manufacturers now state in their installation instructions that the run out must be checked on install fir warranty reasons. This tool is perfect for that. It feels well made and is accurate enough for its intended use. I've used it to help centre the tail stock on my lathe with great success too.

Perfect gauge and magnetic base I like

Both the DTI and the mag stand look very well made. The DTI has a smart storage case that also holds an alternative back. There are 2 batteries supplied, one installed and a spare. I chose the 40kG magnet which is a little weak really, but it holds onto my lathe bed without any issues. I will definitely buy more of this brand in the future. P.S. Delivery was also quicker than expected.

I don't normally do reviews, but I will for this item . It arrived well packaged no damage. I think the quality is first class very well made , the digital dial is excellent very easy to read . I've pulled the rod a few times & it's always went back to zero. I'm going to use it on a z-axis of a milling machine I've made , I wanted to keep the machine manual , so I need to know how much I'm dropping down the z-axis or I'm going to be breaking cutters . So this new dial will be invaluable for that . So yes a very good purchase

Ich habe diese digitale Messuhr am speziell gekauft, um Unwuchten (Run out) an Bremsscheiben und Radlagern zu diagnostizieren – und sie hat diesen anspruchsvollen Job mit Bravour gemeistert. Präzision und Messung: Die Messgenauigkeit von ±0,01 mm ist für den KFZ-Einsatz absolut ausreichend und zuverlässig. Ich konnte mit der Messuhr ein defektes hinteres Radlager identifizieren, das eine klare Abweichung von 0,55 mm zeigte. Dies ist ein eindeutiger, messbarer Beweis für den Fehler, den die Uhr schnell geliefert hat. Halt und Handhabung: Der mitgelieferte Magnetfuß mit Zentralklemmung hält hervorragend. Ich konnte den Fuß stabil am Stoßdämpfer befestigen, was eine sehr genaue und wiederholbare Messung ermöglichte. Die einfache Bedienung der Zentralklemmung macht das Justieren des Messarms schnell und unkompliziert. Fazit: Ein fantastisches und preiswertes Werkzeug für jeden Hobbyschrauber. Wenn Sie präzise Diagnosen an Fahrwerksteilen benötigen, ist dieses Set Gold wert. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

The only other digital tool that I own is a Mitutoyo caliper, it was a gift, and everything else is old school analog. I saw this tool and thought why not give it a try, the price is right, and it has a nice base. Even if the indicator gauge is no good, I've got a usable base for my other gauges. Well, I love this thing! After running a few tests on some standards, I found it to be quite accurate, and it's very easy to use: no dials to turn, zeros out with the push of a button, and it seems to be durable. Time will tell if it performs, but so far so good. Also, it's much easier for these old eyes to read! The magnetic base works great! The magnet is strong, and it is very stable. I'm presently using it to turn an MT1 wood lathe taper. The dimensions are dead on. Highly recommend!
