This set was the perfect way to spend a couple of afternoons! I made a gift for a friend featuring their dogs, and even though I’m totally new to sculpting, I think it turned out great! I learned a lot just from making those two pieces and I’m already excited to create more. There was almost no change in shape or color before and after baking the clay, which you can see in my pictures. A couple of quick tips: I used tinfoil to bulk out the shape and save on clay, and I found that silicone tools I already had at home worked really well for detailing. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Got this clay set due to it being a small yet substantial set with a good variety of colors and items for someone new to clay. Durability: Over all the clay seems durable after baking, although the thinner pieces seem a bit bendy, unsure if that is normal for oven bake clays. Value for money: I will give this nearly a perfect score for value for the costs, of course there are other sets that are out there that may be cheaper, but this is a good price in my book. Sculpting ability: I found the more you sculpt with it and move it around the softer the clay becomes. Wait a few minutes and it will become harder to move once again. This allowed me to not be too worried to mess up my work.

My son got the Arteza Polymer Clay Kit for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it! The variety of colors is incredible—it’s perfect for sparking his creativity and bringing all his ideas to life. One of the best things about this kit is that the clay hardens all the way when baked in the oven, so his creations are sturdy and can be kept as keepsakes or gifts. it made tons of projects and lasted a long time. but was bendy and broke some of my projects. was ok

Purchased this for a craft session with 12 children (age 5-10), it was perfect and they all had a great time! A few children are still talking about it :-) There was enough clay for each to make two to three small a sculptures. Clay is easy to mold, there is a wide array of colors and a couple of them looked like metal. Kit comes with a few metal pieces to make earrings, key chain, charm etc. Looking back, it could help to have a few pictures of what can be done because it took us a while to decide what to make; the children made planets and animals and some food items too and everything looked good! Super easy to bake: 265F for 10-12 min. Will purchase again!

I am a polymer clay professional and I typically use Fimo and Premo Sculpey. I bought this for my boyfriends 10 year old daughter for her birthday. She loves to craft with me in my clay room. She had a little bit of a hard time with the softness but honestly I don't think it was hard at all. Since I smash clay all the time my hands are very strong so maybe it's just me....but she still loved it. Great colors, the greens especially. The only negative thing is the packaging design is super boring. You can't tell how awesome the colors are or even what's inside. I gave this as a gift and made her open the box to truly get an idea of what it even was. Other that that, awesome. Highly, highly recommend!

This is a great addition to my crafting supplies. Easy to use, does everything my bad clay skills want it to, and looks great when I'm done. I also bought clay cutters so I could make jewelry. My husband is still laughing :-(

I love this clay! I am a beginner and have tried major brands like Sculpty. This was the best bargain for the money and stayed moist the LONGEST! I will buy this from now on.

Got this clay as an experiment after using sculpey for a few years. Box, tools, and accessories are pretty lackluster, but serviceable. Tools are unusual enough to make the kit worth while. This kit is a nice one-off for a few projects and would be good for kids. This kit does has its pros and cons, however. Pros -Colors are amazing. They are vibrant, unusual, and even subtle difference make it worth it. The metallic colors are serviceable, but you can find better in more name brands. -The colors after baking have a slightly translucent, light, airy sort of look to them. It's like they were mixed with a percentage of translucent clay. -They condition quick, and stick to each other well, making joining pieces together easy. -Texturing tools are very nice, and the box makes travel and storage simple. -Mixing it is amazing, I did quite a few marbled pieces and the color transition is AMAZING. Cons -It's soft and sticky. If you are wanting a sculpture clean of fingerprints, good luck. It easily deforms when you attempt to remove it from surfaces, when you can remove it from surfaces. I used a tile to bake it, and found a good amount of difficulty removing baked pieces. (It can be done, just be careful.) -Directions are false on cooking time. I baked a few pieces for the recommended time and they came out soft and brittle, even after they had cooled. If you are attempting to use this production, cook at 275 for at least 1/2 hour or more. Keep an eye on it and make sure you let it cool completely. -It can possibly be less sturdy then the name brands, so using it for something that's going to sit there would be best. Ultimately, I think it cold probably be a bit cheaper and it's actually not too bad for a beginner who knows about the pros and cons when you are working with it. Know that it's soft and using it for very simple sculpts (even beads) will make you less likely to get frustrated, and even possibly prepare you for the more expensive clay. I am probably going to use my kit up and stick with my own clay, even though I ADORE these colors.
