Great Screen
Great screen with lots of options, used with Windows and Mac and works well with both.

Vivid colour and high resolution
Following a lot of research, I recently replaced my old monitor with this Dell product with a larger screen size, QHD 1440p resolution and a much faster refresh rate. It's entirely up to my expectations. Adjusting its hight and angle is very easy, and is convenient to suit users' needs. As many other reviewers already commented, the colour is vivid and the image very clear. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a first-rate monitor for both work and personal use.

Fantastic choice !!
The monitor is perfect and looks good too. Has plenty of connection points and is properly packed upon arrival in the original Dell box. Screen thickness is also good - not too thin but just right for a slightly larger screen size at 27inch. And the high refresh rate is making a big difference to my previous screen. Wholeheartedly recommended ! The Amazon delivery however was poor, left at the door (despite 'signed for' required per Amazon) and the Amazon box was damaged and dented, likely due to being too large for the original Dell monitor box inside which would have slide around inside and hard to grip. No damage luckily but clearly not best planned from Amazon side.

Excellent monitor — stylish, sturdy, and very comfortable on the eyes
I’ve been using it for a few months now, and it’s been excellent in every way. The design is stylish and looks very clean on a desk, and the build quality feels solid and sturdy. The stand is particularly good , height adjustment is smooth and easy, so it’s simple to get a comfortable setup. Most importantly, it’s very comfortable for prolonged use and feels easy on the eyes during long working sessions, which is exactly what I need for office work.

Terrible for dually connected macs :(
I'm sorry to report that this monitor was a disappointment. I purchased it after the positive mac reviews, but it simply did not work for my setup. I needed a monitor at home after my 14 year old 27" thunderbolt display died. I read a lot of specs and reviews and thought this was going to be perfect. I have a personal mac mini m4 and an M1 macbook pro for work. I thought being able to dually connect them would allow me to seamlessly switch back and forth between the two. Unfortunately, the features designed specifically to do this do not only do that, but it prevents me from being able to use my mac mini at all. My mac mini, like all mac desktops, connects to my mouse and keyboard via bluetooth. These aren't external USB peripherals, but use the mac's built in bluetooth. What this means is that if any upstream cable was plugged in, it was assumed the the mouse and keyboard were usb connected to it. The only way i could get the mac mini to honour the mouse and keyboard was to connect it via hdmi with neither of the usb4 cables connected. If i used the uplink usb4 to the mac mini, the mouse and keyboard weren't detected and i couldn't wake it. If i connected the downlink usb cable for power to my macbook or used the uplink from my macbook, no mouse. I know the cable worked as I could use mac screen sharing and use activate the monitor, connected to the mini, from the macbook, but it still would not detect peripherals connected directly to it. The build quality of the frame was also poor and there was a gap where the power light was, leaking light out of it towards the screen. For a monitor of this price and alleged quality, it was a big, heavy paperweight.

Excellent for the price!
I’m a graphic designer and needed a second, larger screen to pair with my MacBook Pro, but I wasn’t keen on paying the premium for an Apple display. This monitor has really impressed me. While the colours and sharpness aren’t quite as bright and crisp as my Mac, they come surprisingly close, and I can work on detailed projects with precision and view colours with reliable accuracy. I’ve been so pleased with its performance that I even recommended it to a freelance client, who went on to replace their office screens with the same model. For the price, it’s an excellent investment. If you’re a professional retoucher, photographer, or repro specialist, you may want something more high‑end. But for graphic design work in print, packaging, and branding, this screen is a fantastic addition to a home office setup.

Excellent Screen
Gear screen. Integrates well and powers my Dell XPS Laptop. You can plug an external keyboard and mouse into the screen, so just plugging in a USB C cable gives the functionality of a powered docking station.

Very nice panel, but the KVM functionality is worse than useless.
I purchased this Dell U2724DE monitor as it advertised Thunderbolt capability, integrated 2.5GbE NIC & KVM. This would allow me to simplify the wiring on my desk setup. However, I noticed, once I got the monitor, that the 2.5GbE connection was linked with the rest of the USB ports, so if you switch input to check on a desktop (via DisplayPort), the laptop would lose internet connection as the desktop gained a second ethernet connection it didn't need. This was slightly annoying, but I could just set the KVM to always be presented to the Thunderbolt, and just use an external KVM box which I already had. The major design issue that caused me to return the monitor, is the faulty logic the KVM function uses to control the Thunderbolt connection First of all, the Thunderbolt daisy chaining port _only works when the display's input is set to Thunderbolt_. If the input is DisplayPort or HDMI, it incorrectly treats the Thunderbolt daisychain port as if it was a standard, non-Thunderbolt capable USB-C port, causing Thunderbolt peripherals connected to it to be disconnected from the computer, and you get a little "Thunderbolt devices are not compatible with this PC" from Windows, or a "Connect to a Thunderbolt port on this Mac" from macOS, even though the display still remains connected to the computer via Thunderbolt. Secondly, and a smaller issue for me, but still worth pointing out, when you have the input on the display set to Thunderbolt, the KVM _must_ be passing through peripherals to the Thunderbolt device. You can only configure which computer peripherals should be connected for DisplayPort & HDMI input settings. This is a massive let down. The picture quality & refresh rate of the monitor is truly stellar, but I'd advise saving £100, and buying the non Thunderbolt capable version (Dell U2724D, without the 'E' on the end), or as I will be doing, taking my money to another brand, and buying the similarly specced Asus ProART PA278CGV, and if you really want the Thunderbolt capability, you can take the £100 you saved and buy an external dock such as the AmazonBasics B0CPT7M1Y8.
