My son loves them and look great after many washes

These were purchased as school uniform pants. They are holding up very well. The fit is true to size and the elastic waistband allows for quite a bit of flexibility. I bought the size 7 for my 6-year-old son as he is solidly built and has trouble with tight waistbands. They are a tiny bit long as he is only a little above average height, but the waist is just right--there would be plenty of room for a larger-waisted child, but they stay up just fine. The color is a bit darker than it appears in the product photo--more a true navy than a dark blue. The knees are reinforced, which is great for active children. My son is very hard on clothing, but these have survived more than half of year on the playground without a rip. Also, I've washed these pants at least forty times now and they are not pilling or getting drab at all. They still look just fine for school and I expect they will last through the rest of the year and into next fall if my child does not outgrow them.

*************************************************UPDATE: My son is now in size 7. He has grown with the sizing of these pants exactly. I previously gate them 4 stars, but I've upgraded them to 5 stars. The only hole in these pants in 3 years are the ones he has cut with scissors, being a boy. Even after letting out the (very deep) hem, he outgrows these pants before they wear out. I forgot to mention earlier that the knees are reinforced. There has also been VERY minimal fading over the years. I have bought all color options, and every time i buy a new pair, the old color is almost exactly the same. We still love them!***********************************************These pants are very basic, i e they get the job done. The material is a very sturdy twill blend that doesn't wrinkle too easily. This was my second purchase and I got a 4 and a 4T. There was a little too muchroom in the seat, especially in the 4T. But my son is a VERY thin 30lb, 40 in. 4 year old. That said, the waist fit as well as could be expected, considering. The length was good, with a nice break at the hem. Side note - my son requested more of these because of the fully elastic waist and deep pockets. I recommend them highly.

I bought these for my 8 year old who has, frankly, no butt. Waists have to constrict him for his pants to stay up. We used to use belts, but they were just too tight and he was always coming home with red marks on his sides. We tried suspenders, but that caused potty-time issues at school (he is non-verbal autistic). These pants work really well to solve the problem, and the kid seems content enough. He used to come home everyday asking to change into "comfy pants" but now he heads straight for the Wii instead. I feel that says alot. They're not the traditional cotton fabric/feel of regular pants, but not rough on the skin. They're a bit lighter. The bottoms of the legs are oddly narrow, I thought. They narrow as they go down the leg. We're not accustomed to that (but they do fit). They grip the waist just enough without causing discomfort, and I feel that's important for a kid's ability to focus at school.Regarding sizes, ... for my son (having no butt) we found a size 6 to work better than a size 7. Technically, he's a size 7 with regular non-elastic pants. So, go a size lower if you're experiencing a similar issue. We personally bought two of sizes 6 and 7 intending to return what didn't fit. We kept the 7s for next winter, anyway. Good pants. A bit nontraditional, but sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered. Not sure what the other reviewer's issue was with their toddler's pants. The sizes seem to run a bit large to me. Maybe my kid's just small ...

Love these, fit perfect for my son. Nice Khaki pants. Especially with kids not having to wear a belt with these. Stretchy waist. These are very nice material as well.

My son does not fit in dress pants well at all, but these are perfect for him. It's pretty rare that he wears dress pants, but now I don't have to fight him to wear them. He is definitely on the husky side so he needs the elastic waist. These have enough give to them that he still feels comfortable in them. We liked them so much we bought them in two colors.

I ordered these for my daughter because I needed pull up pants. Even if they were for a boy, the mid-section (crotch area) is too baggy. They needed to bring in the seams around the hips and crotch area a few inches. Otherwise, all else is great and they work wonderful as the addition of the school uniform. Pull-up are the best for a growing child, and they are easy to manage in the morning routine.

I have a wheelchair bound grandson and these pants are perfect for him. A perfect fit that doesn't slide off.
