Doctor Mom Original Pocket Otoscope - Clamshell Packaging

I bought this otoscope because my little guy frequently gets ear infections but after getting rocephin shots in the Spring he is afraid of telling me his ear hurts. This otoscope arrived on a Friday afternoon. That night my little guy woke up crying in the middle of the night because his 'head' hurt, but he was holding near his left ear. He went back to bed but then woke up shortly after. He & I slept the rest of the night on the couch so that he was sleeping more upright. By the morning he told me his head & his ear felt all better and his temperature was slightly higher than usual but not a fever. His doctor office has Saturday hours until 12:30 but you have to call right away to be able to get an appt. I was hesitant to take one of the few available appointments if his ear was indeed better (2 weeks ago we had gone to dr based on him saying his ears & eyes hurt and he was perfectly fine) but I also didn't want him to suffer until monday if he did have an ear infection. Thank goodness I had bought this otoscope...i checked his left ear & sure enough it was very red like the example shown on the back of the otoscope package. Checked his right ear & it looked fine like the image of a healthy ear the package showed. We went to the dr & he had a left ear infection. This otoscope is very simple to use & works great! I also greatly appreciate the pictures on the back of the package showing a healthy vs infected ear. This was a great & inexpensive buy!!

This works as expected! Great to have on hand and not have to run to the de every single time my toddler says something about their ear. You can easily see a healthy eardrum vs an infection and make decisions accordingly.

I purchased this otoscope after I bought a few more expensive ones that connect to your cell phone and returned them. This one honestly is easier to use and clearer than the expensive ones. If your kiddos get frequent ear infections this is the perfect otoscope for a quick check!

I bought this for checking up my kids ears. It is so convenient to use for determining the wax in the ears. The light’s brightness is perfect ( not too bright and without blue spectrum). In the set there are also different sizes of speculums, which was great, because I could use the smallest size to check ears on my 2 yo. Good purchase for a good price.

This works so much better than a flashlight for checking my pets ears. It's built well and gives good light.

Don't pay more, buy this one. Every household should have one. You'll get a clear view of the inner ear. It comes with photos to show what you're looking for. Batteries are included. A+
