Love this game, the blocks are sturdy and well made. The carrier bag was handy and has held the weight so far. Really pleased with the purchase and am looking forward to playing many times over the summer.

Bought this as entertainment for my 65th. birthday celebration.First set had a suspect looking join in the king piece and a couple of possibly suspect knots in the throwing batons - speedily replaced by Amazon.It comes as white wood, albeit good and solid, and would obviously soon be looking grubby with use so I gave the pieces several coats of teak oil before using them.One year on the pieces are still looking good and providing excellent entertainment for visitors.33 year old sporty daughter loves the idea of lobbing sticks at geriatric parent.She also likes the idea of lobbing sticks at poor old son-in-law, so with Christmas moving inexorably closer I shall be placing another order.Do take the trouble to oil them - they will look much better for the effort.

I bought this game for my dad (who is 76!) for Fathers Day, as he loves all sorts of games, indoor and outdoor, after first playing it abroad on holiday in Crete. Its been one of my best buys in ages, when we can get to play it that is with the constant rain! Its well made of solid wood and so will hopefully last a long time. We've had endless fun in the garden and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a game with a difference. It will certainly be going on holiday with us to Wales in August, even if the gardens waterlogged we'll try and get on the beach! A must for all those budding outdoor games fans.

Overall a good quality product, but the king, which had been assembled out of two pieces of wood, broke after playing just a few times. Had to fix it with wood glue and some wooden dowels and hopefully it will stay fixed for a while. For the price I was expecting a little more durability.

I wanted to gift a friend with the Original version of the game, and instead the Family one arrived, which can be bought for about £20 less. Have returned it immediately, but this is very disappointing.

I saw this being played in the park, and fortunately they had the box so I could see what it was called. Then I saw some more people playing it the next day, also having so much fun. On a whim, I bought it for my workplace so we could play it at lunchtimes. Everyone loves it, and have subsequently bought sets for their friends and family. Anyone can play it, and no one is ever that much better or worse than others. Easy to play. Everyone is dubious at first, and then..."WOW, so much fun." What I like about this set is its inherent quality.

The one game to play while bbq is heating up. Simple rules that are versatile and allows several players. Ok to play while you hold a bottle in the other hand. This copy is of good quality standard size and ok packaging. Quick delivery and good price. would recommend.

Love this game, perfect for picnics in the park or quick game in the garden though you do need a fair bit of space.Took a while to learn but there are plenty of videos on You Tube showing you how to play.Have enjoyed playing with just the misses or with a large group of mixed ages, It is a easy game for people to walk in and out of as as long as one team has between 1 to 6 players one for each throw then it does not really matter if somebody joins or leaves during play.Best played with a few beers to hand :)

I sent this game to someone as a gift and it arrived without any instructions. Easy enough for them to look up, but it definitely would have been nicer to have printed directions on the field as you learn to play.

Very nice quality pieces, each having slightly rounded edges, and a really nice feel. The game is an absolute blast.Game Pros:- amazingly fun game- can play with ANY combination of players - 1v1 up to 6v6 and any combination in between- can play with uneven number of players - it's not a problem to play 1v2 or 2v3 ...etc (probably not according to the "real" rules, but we've played with uneven teams without any issue)- more strategy than cornhole (in my opinion)Game Cons:- not infant-friendly like cornhole... you're not throwing beanbags, you're throwing chunks of wood - so it's not a game you can play while infants are running around.- differing rules online. This is not a big "con", as we just read the first set and played, and it was a blast. We later found other slighlty varying rules, that we tried, and ALSO had a blast - so... again, not much of a con, especially since they all had the same idea - just slight variations.Materials Pros:- came with all the pieces (of course)- I'm not sure what "rubberwood" is, but - they're heavy enough and have a solid/nice feel - I was skeptical, and expected rough-cut chunks of 4x4 or something, but - these were very nicely sanded, almost soft-feeling pieces... seems very good quality.-nice rounded edgesMaterials Cons:- not stained or coated - (I didn't expect them to be, as I believe there's a pricier version that is). I ended up staining them myself, but it's likely not necessary, as you probably won't be playing in the rain.- game instruction booklet is a bit lacking - nothing the internet couldn't clarify though- the wood dings up fairly easily - it doesn't hurt the game, and they're not large dings... just something to note I guess... you ARE, after all, throwing wood at wood - so this is probably expectedSide note:- If you have some string, we found it helpful to run a string around the outside of the playing field and one across the middle - it made it easier to quickly determine if the block was out of bounds, or across the mid-line.
