Available in two sizes 200g and 454g.The very best award winning Lancashire cheese made in a traditional manner using fresh local Lancashire milk from JJ Sandham's family run company established in 1929. A wonderful cheese sealed in a wax casing in a distinctive round ball which is why it is called a Lancashire Black Bomb - Creamier than the mature variety. It still has that familiar sharp taste and acidity but is balanced to make it less crumbly and not as dry. A wonderful tangy flavour that goes well with olives and cheesey bread. Lancashire is closely related to Cheshire and Wensleydale cheese which are all referred to as being part of the crumbly family of cheeses. Shown here with perfect accompaniment Gourmet Chilli Jam Did You Know.... For centuries, Lancashire dairy farmers\' wives have made cheese from surplus milk. On small farms there was insufficient milk from a single day to make a cheese, and so each day\'s milk was curdled and accumulated for several days until there was enough curd to make a cheese. Uniquely amongst all British cheeses, two or three days\' curd of varying maturity are blended together, giving Lancashire cheese a distinctive character.

Awful!
As a Lancashire girl I have been buying Lancashire bomb for many years. This was not good. Awful flavour. Wondering if it was actually Lancashire bomb cheese or it was off.
