I was a former wrestler and coach. Picked this up after losing 200lbs and getting back in shape. I got the wild idea to wrestle in an open tournament at 50 years old! Perfect fit and great protection. Not too heavy on my head. Great quality and hope to use for a few more years.

Got this for my son for wrestling, he is going into 6th grade and this is a perfect fit right out of the box. Light weight with breathable material and secures or stays in place once on. Good protection against cauliflower ears. Has a hook and loop closure, not sure how well that is going to work but I guess we'll see. For now it seems to work real well.

Good ear protection but the chin strap ripped off after 4 times wearing it.

I got the headgear for occasional wrestling and as an extra in case one of the kids forgot theirs, but not for competition. It is easy to adjust and comfortable. This headgear doesn't block sounds as much as regular headgear like Cliff Keen and is easier for them to hear directions from the coaches. It would be great for a grade school boy or girl, or a middle schooler learning to wrestle, but it might not protect larger high school wrestlers. The headgear doesn't take up much space in the gear bag. For under $20, it's worth it for a spare or emergency use. Note that Amazon shipped the headgear in a clear plastic bag and dropped it on the doorstep. If that's a problem, then choose to have it shipped in an Amazon box.

My grandson wanted to get into boxing at his school, and of course, head protection was the first requirement. I saw this and ordered it. He is a bit on the smaller side, but we were able to get it to fit him perfectly. It did take some time to get it adjusted, but now he has no problem getting it on. The ear shields are hard but padded fairly well. He said he wished it was a little thicker, but it was doing the job for now. It is lightweight and doesn't make him feel like he's wearing a helmet.

Stays in place too! My son didn't want to wear them until he had an opponent almost rip his ear off. Now he wears it every match. It's easy to clean in the sink and just hang dry.

I like that this is used to prevent cauliflower ear. It seems well made of soft, but strong material and is easily adjustable to different sizes. The chin strap seems like it could wear out quickly over time because it is only a thin strip of Velcro. The straps on the head are made up of a thicker/wider strap of Velcro that should withstand use and abuse while wrestling. Overall, for the price this seems like a quality product for youth wrestling.

Was pretty small for my head no matter how much I adjusted it. The Velcro on the strap is already worn out. Wasn't worth the money.
