The cross pattern and words are printed into the wood back. Looks fake. Nice size though

Beautiful but scratched
Beautiful cross! BUT the way it was packaged wasn’t the best. It came in a loose fitting box with zero wrapping around the cross. That being said, the cross had to of been sliding inside the box it came in because the wording on the cross was scratched. I’m thinking the cross was sliding around inside the box while being shipping causing scratches on it. It’s beautiful and a decent price for how heavy it is, just wish there would have been wrapping actually around the cross to avoid any damage. :(
