Accutire MS-5510B Racing Tyre Pressure Gauge

I've bought any number of tyre pressure gauges and none of them have been particularly practical to use. The mechanical gauges rarely have a means of setting the needle to zero, and it's clear to me that they quickly drift away from the zero setting. And the friction within the mechanism causes the needle to settle on a variable zero point each time the device is removed from the tyre valve. The Accutire gauge does everything the manufacturers claim. And when air is bled off whilst attached to the tyre valve, the device automatically resamples the pressure and updates the reading. Yes, one has to hold the adaptor firmly against the valve to get a good seal, BUT, it can be removed quickly, and without air gushing out in the process. It has a solid, well made feel and is easy to operate. Accuracy? No idea. But the Accutire gauge gives comparable readings to the other TP gauges I've been using.

The pressure gauge arrived with corroded batteries, and did not work. I requested new batteries and they were the wrong size. Another set of batteries came, and checked OK on a voltmeter, but the gauge did not work. Looks like there is something wrong with the on/off switch.
