Tuscany Map [Italy] (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3305)

Not as detailed as I would like, but should work.
I purchased this for the several days I will spend in the Tuscany region this fall. I also have planned a driving trip in Val d'Orcia. I want to make sure I do not get lost. This map will definitely help with that. I do wish it were a little more detailed as many roads are not named.

GREAT QUALITY MAP
Was in search of an updated map (2022 edition) for my upcoming trip to Italy this summer, and this fits the bill. Paper quality is made of thicker material, so it's not as flimsy as most standard maps are. I think this will travel well - will update how well it stands up to wear and there after my trip.

Disappointing
I often use National Geo maps in the United States for hiking and, to a lesser, extent for driving. I have been to Tuscany several times and have a well worn Rough Guide map of Tuscany and Umbria. That map is no longer in print and that I would hate to lose. So, I thought I’d buy a new map especially so I could see backroads while making plans. This one was a disappointment. For example, it doesn’t show Chiusi, an important exit on the A1 and a train station. Inexplicably, the map shows a tiny village Querce di Pino that is outside of Chiusi. I may mail this one back as I have ordered the well-reviewed Michelin map of Tuscany and am hoping it will be better.

Lacks some detail
I bought this map for a driving trip from Florence to the Val D'Orcia area, planning to highlight the route of the driving tour recommended in a guidebook. I was disappointed to find that the map lacked detail, and did not show several roads that were shown on the map in my guidebook and in Google Maps. Also, I found it hard to identify some road numbers. I ordered Touring Club Italia's "Siena e Val d'Orcia Regional Map" instead, and it has what I need. Nat Geo's map is fine for what it is, but I needed something more detailed. Finally, the map has a water resistant coating that is great for durability, but means that it will smudge if you try to use a highlighter on it.

Good map but need good eyesight
Map very clear and easy to see roads etc. town names are in very small print and hard to see. Didn’t see any indication of historical or most popular tourist towns.

no doubt the "Go TO" map for Tuscany
What can I say - there is no other map better. I drive a motorcycle and I've found no other map with the level of detail and information that I can fold up, fold over, fold any way I need for my particular view needs and place in my "tank bag" in addition to the water/rain resistence. I've tried other maps who claim to be foldable and water resistent but nothing beats the National Geographic quality.
