Recently, our VW Polo started experiencing severe jerks while moving. We sought the help of an electrician at a car workshop to identify the issue. However, getting an appointment proved to be a challenging task as they all seem very busy. After endless phone calls, we finally had the car looked at, and the diagnosis indicated that cylinder 3 couldn't build the necessary compression to ignite, as it was too worn out. Basically they said that the engine is dead.To the basically send the engine is dead. I tried to get a second opinion at the other workshops but I couldn't get a appointment, and I decided to take matters in my own hands. I ordered a n engine error code reader and managed to narrow down the issue to error code P03030. This didn't necessarily mean that the engine was dead. I proceeded to change the spark plugs and ordered a new ignition coil. Despite the fact that I am not a car repair specialist, replacing the ignition coil proved surprisingly easy. Disconnecting the wire connector and using leverage to pop out the old coil were enough to remove the old coil. Connecting the new ignition coil to the wiring and clicking it into the place completed the change process. Using the error code reader, I cleared the code.We've been using the car for around a month now, and the jerks while moving have disappeared. I've checked the readings few times, and the error code hasn't returned.
