A wonderful cavalcade of Gillian Ayers paintings - super reproductions - what energy - what a colourist. Not sure about text though - have concentrated on 'looking' at the illustrations of which there are many - some might say too many. The book is great value for money.

A handsome and well-written book about a brilliant artist - with great pictures, of course. A good present to oneself or friends interested in Modern British art.

Great value book with a lot of good quality reproductions. The Martin Gayford essay is interesting.
