Works perfectly! I held off getting one of these for a long time thinking I didn’t need it, and instead just struggled with my yarn. Don’t be like me - don’t wait! It makes crocheting so much easier and less stressful! It was easy to put together, a nice small size, and a good value for the money. I also really like the color of the wood.

This was a gift to me from my son. I love this product! It's easy and convenient to use. Doesn't take up much space and it's mobile. I don't have to stop crocheting to pull more yarn out, it spins perfectly and alows me to continuously crochet. I used a toilet paper holder to roll my yarn and it works perfectly!

Very pleasantly surprised at how well it stays hanging. I was worried the magnet would not be strong, but it works very well.

This arrived in a small box and was simple to assemble with 2 screws. I took one star off because it was slightly chipped in one spot on the curved piece, but I touched it up with a furniture marker so it's not visible. I love to crochet, but a lot of yarn doesn't come in a cake that can be easily used without stopping to unravel more yarn every minute. I watched a Youtube video on crochet 'gadgets' and this one was labelled a winner, along with a cake winder which I also purchased. The spool on this product is held on magnetically, allowing it to freely spin. I've found this to be very helpful and of high quality. I do wish this came in other wood finishes, but this one is sort of a cherry finish and it's fine.

This product is GREAT! It works seamlessly saving me time from stopping to pull more yarn. I can smoothly pull the yarn with no snags. Yes, the scare for the magnetic bar if too small for the space but I made it work and functionality was not compromised.

It was relatively easy to put together. I relied on the photos along with the instructions. I was given a couple extra screws which helped if I needed a different thread to make the parts go together.

Delivered on time. It's quite pretty and the magnet is strong. The screws are hard to screw in with the small screw driver that comes with it but a larger one works well.

I finally put this together to use while crocheting a Christmas Tree pattern, and I’m really impressed. The assembly was incredibly easy and intuitive, taking maybe 2-3 minutes. I really appreciated that they included a small screwdriver in the box, so I didn't have to go hunting for one. TL;DR: This is a fantastic yarn spinner. The magnetic connection is surprisingly strong, and it spins very smoothly. It works great for center-pull balls, but only if you place the holder lower than you (like on the floor) so the yarn pulls upward. If you pull straight across, the magnet might disconnect. It kept my tension consistent and was a joy to use. The Nitty Gritty Details I was honestly really surprised at the strength of the magnetic connection. I was worried the spindle might come loose easily, but it snapped together as soon as I got the tip within an inch or so of the base. It’s strong enough to hold the spindle even when tilted to a 60-degree angle. I tend to work almost exclusively with center-pull cakes, and I found the secret to making this work for them. If I placed the holder on the table next to me and pulled straight across, the center string would catch or pull the magnets apart. However, when I set the holder on the floor while I crocheted on the couch, the upward pull allowed the yarn to flow smoothly and the spindle to rotate perfectly. It helped keep my tension very consistent throughout my project. I suspect an outer-pull ball would work at any angle, but for center-pull, lower placement is key. I love having this as part of my crochet kit.
